December Daily 2014 Dec 9

Jingle Bells!!!

You should have seen Hartly trying to sneak into school while she jingled with each step.

Finally she gave up trying to be covert and just merrily skipped into school sounding like all of Santa’s reindeer.

If you look closely you will see my journal card with this story tucked under all the layers.

It’s even written in my very own handwriting, since a fellow crafter has challenged us to use our handwriting more.

That’s for you Francine!!

A word of caution about giving a four year old a container of jingle bells….

They just might end up all over the car jingling with each turn you make. Sigh.

I used~

This Moment Is Yours~

One of my dear friends is having a birthday.

So, I decided that this year I would HAVE to make her a card.

Last year I took the easy way out and sent flowers. He he.

I wanted my card to be girly, so I broke out the Webster’s Pages and got to work.

My card~

Wanted a little extra sparkle, I added a bit of glitter glue to the ends of my princess’s wand.

And I’m happy to report that I didn’t set anything on top of my card before the glue dried.

Funny how that always seems to happen.

Anyway, I hope my princess brings lots of birthday wishes.

I used~
Webster’s Pages Paper, Journaling Cards and Trim, Queen & Co. Twinkle Glitter Glaze

Happy Birthday~

And everything is better with glitter.

Really, isn’t is?

Especially when you’re turning 40!

So to celebrate my cousin whose not too excited about joining me in the Fabulous 40 club, I made a bright, happy, glittery tag and bag.

My card & giftbag~

The other side~

My thinking is she’ll be so distracted by the girlie-ness of this, it will make her feel young again.

Forty is the new Thirty, right?

I used~
Webster’s Pages Let’s Celebrate paper, Girl Land Paper, Word Stickers and Journaling Cards, Designer Tutu Trim, Mini Princess Petals
Pink Paislee Soiree Printed Sheets
Greeting Cardss Inside & Out for the Printed Bag at Fit to Page, TBBM for the tag
CTMH Celebration Stamps, Frosted Lace Stickles
Handmade Stickpins

Beautiful On the Inside & Out~

Isn’t that a sweet saying?

Perfect for a much, much older sister on her birthday. He he!

I finally decided to open and play with my Webster’s Pages warehouse box.

It’s overflowing with all kinds of pretty, girly papers, flowers and trims.

It’s everything you associate with little girls playing dress up.

I have all of them spread out on my desk just for me to look at and savor as they are much too pretty to go back in that plain, brown box.

My card~

I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for my tag base and added a pocket to house a personal note.

A close up~

Isn’t that flower trim pretty?

Maybe after my sister receives this card, she’ll forget about how I used to chase her around the house with a toilet plunger.
