Good Things Come In Small Packages~

Like a brand new pack of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. He he.

Oh, and babies.

My card~

Small-Things

I used the new pens to color a Mama Elephant Up & Away bunny to accompany a baby gift we’re giving.

I love how easy the pens were to blend and how bright and bold the color remains.

Wanting to keep the focus on my bunny I placed him on a sheet of DCWV White Embossed paper backed with a coordinating polka dot paper from the DIY Project Stack Flowers.

And now I think I have a few more pens to go play with.

I used~

DCWV White Embossed Stack, DCWV DIY Project Stack Flowers
Mama Elephant Up & Away Stamps & Dies, Surprise Sentiments
My Favorite Things Cross Stitched Circle Dies, Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square Dies
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, Wink Of Stella, Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock

Think Pretty Thoughts~

And what’s prettier than unicorns?

I used this card by Jennifer McGuire for my NSD 2015 Challenge: Pin It! to recreate something you’ve pinned on Pinterest.

My card~

Think Pretty

Like Jennifer’s card I water colored the background and used stitched dies to create my blue sky.

Then I colored my unicorns and used pop dots, so they’re flying through the sky.

After all of that I ended up stamping the sentiment crooked. Oh well.

It’s still cute.

Maybe not as cute Hartly’s version.

Not To Get Carried Away~

But you are kind of amazing.

Just sayin’.

Isn’t that just too cute?

And perfect for both a birthday card and Francine’s NSD 2015 Challenge: Show Your True Colors to make a project using the colors purple and teal.

I decided to break out my new Akashiya Sai Watercolor Brush Pens and give them a try.

Ella in process

Let me just start by saying these cute little Wplus9 elephants are my second attempt, since my first ended up in the trash can.

It seems I’m a bit impatient when it comes to letting paint dry.

I highly recommend watching Kristina Werner’s video here to learn the best way to use these pens.

Ella

There’s no shame in saying I think I watched her video more than once. He he.

But, it paid off.

I think I’m liking these Brush Pens a tad bit more than the Spectrum Aqua Pens.

For now.

Just sayin’.

Friends Make Everything So Much Better~

As soon as I saw Colleen’s 2015 NSD Challenge: Tag You’re It! challenge to use a tag as a featured element on a project I knew exactly what I was going to do.

See Hartly and I have been watching coloring and card making YouTube videos at night instead of reading a book at bedtime.

Seriously, both of our coloring skill have improved. He he.

So, it’s no surprise that my card is totally inspired by Nichol Magouirk’s Bunny Birthday card.

My Tag You’re It! card~

Bear Friends

Do I even need to mention that I’ve also been watching Water Coloring videos too?

And that is why I bought the Spectrum Aqua Markers and have been playing around with them.

I’m not sure I’ve quite gotten the hang of them, but hey there still cute.
