This Ash Is …

Awesome. Funny. Cute. Happy. Kind. Quirky. Silly. Mine.

And most important she is loved.

My layout~

This Ash Is

When I saw the This Wash Is Awesome tag on a pair of American Eagle jeans I knew then and there that I wanted to save and to use it for an Ashlyn layout.

It was as if it was made to be paired with the October Afternoon Girl Talk paper with all sorts of adjectives on it.

And now I know that I am not alone in saving little bits and pieces to use on layouts and cards.

In fact, there is a whole group of us digging out our little saved treasures and using them for the Cricut Circle Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge: This & That.

A close-up~

I snapped this picture of Ashlyn on her first trip driving through the Drive Thru of our local Hardees.

She did great.

However, I don’t think she appreciated me telling the young lady at the window.

But, she even celebrated with us. He he.

I used~

October Afternoon Daily Flash Girl Talk Collection including Gossip, Dish and Chatter Paper, Flash Blurbs, Memory Cards, Snap Caps and Double Take Stickers
Queen & Co Alphabits

How Much I Love You~

Can you handle one more bear project from me?

I hope so.

A few weekends ago I spent the entire weekend having the best time with my scrapbooking friends at the Doodle Crew Retreat.

While I was gone my littlest, Hartly,  was extremely concerned she might forget what I looked like.

Thanks Dad!

It seems he tells her that all the time although he sees her several time a week.  Grandparents!

And since I didn’t let her keep the picture she snapped of me while I was in the shower that morning, I made her a card to show her how much I love and missed her.

My card~

Bear Card

I thought the bright colors and bold prints in the Fancy Pants Me-ology collection were perfect to pair with my Mama Elephant Bear Hugs Stamps and Dies.

The inside~

This was also perfect for the Cricut Circle Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge: Pick A Friend.

And my little friend was so happy to receive this card.

She even handed over her Leap Pad to let me make sure she had deleted those shower pictures. Shew!

I used~

Fancy Pants Me-ology Collection, Mama Elephant Bear Hugs Stamps & Dies, Enamel Dots, Kraft Paper and Teresa Collins Ebosser

A Little Bear Love~

We have TWO big birthdays coming up in our house this week.

So, it was the perfect time to get the new DIY Project Stacks from DCWV.

To see all of them check out the new product reveal videos.

Luckily I got the DIY Project Stack Favor Boxes, since I just happen to need two boxes to hold the perfect gift for two sixteen year olds….cash.

Did you think I was going to say car keys? Ha.

All of the DIY Project Stacks are filled with fabulous patterns, vibrant colors and even templates for various projects.

Since I have the cutting abilities of a four-year old, I used my Brother Scan & Cut to scan the Take Out Box Template.

Scan 1

I cut it out of several of the papers from the stack.

Scan 2

Then it was a simple matter of scoring, gluing and decorating them.

My boxes~

Can you tell I just got a new stamp set from Mama Elephant?

And I’m crazy about the bears in the Bear Hugs set.

So I also made a coordinating card using the patterned papers from the DIY Project Stack Flowers.

My card~

The bright colors and fun patterns made it so easy to stamp and cut my images and quickly assemble my card.

I think that star patterned paper is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

All together~

Okay, I think all of these stacks are quickly becoming my favorites.

You Are Absolutely Unforgettable~

I’m not sure if I’m referring to this past week filled with a crazy schedule of doctors appointments, meetings and a nasty cold or my Valentines.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I’ll choose my Valentines.

And there’s nothing like waiting till the last minute to make them a tiny token of my love and affection.

My Valentines~

I’ll be totally honest with you and tell you I had these grand plans to use my Cricut Explore last night.

However, my computer had other plans.

Plans that involved taking forty-five minutes to simply turn off.

Luckily I had these adorable WPlus9 elephant stamps and dies sitting on my desk, so it was my Teresa Collins Cut ‘N Boss to the rescue. Yay!

This also means I used my new purchase making it okay with a little Stashing Thru The Snow group I’m part of.

Plus, I used an older Recollection collection that I’ve had for at least a year.

If you haven’t checked out WPlus9, you’re missing out.

Not only are their stamps really cute, but I love how they package the dies with a magnetic strip to help keep them in place.

Now it’s time to get those cards in the mini mailboxes.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I used~

Recollections Valentine Collection including 6×6 Paper Pad, Enamel Dots, Buttons and Brads
WPlus9 Unforgettable and Bubble Talk Stamp & Die Sets
Kraft Paper, Teresa Collins Cut & Boss

Up 2 Something~

I think most of you know by now that Hartly is a huge Toy Story fan.

She is especially fond of Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl.

She spends so much time dressing up like Jessie that it’s no wonder that I have hundreds of pictures of her in that costume.

So while I had my older Studio Calico kit out making One Sweet Cowgirl, I decided to knock out another Jessie layout.

My layout~

Up 2 Somethin

Her expression in this picture is just priceless.

It makes me wonder what she’s about to say or do.

And with this girl anything is possible.

I had fun layering all the bits and pieces from both the kit and my own October Afternoon Sasparilla collection.

I kept with the same colors, printed papers and embellishments.

I think the two layouts will look great paired together in my album.

When I get around to putting them in an album that is.

Maybe that needs to be the next Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge.

I used~

Studio Calico Kit Contents: October Afternoon Sasparilla High Noon, Pebbles Fresh Goods Mom & Pop, My Mind’s Eye Sunshine Memories Blossom and 12 Days Of Christmas All The Trimmings Paper, Crate Paper Farmhouse Buttons, Ali Thickers and Ormolu Negative Number Tags
OA Sasparilla Rub Ons, Miscellany, Journal Cards, Stamps, Little Flyers and Basic Grey Metal Studs

One Sweet Cowgirl~

Today I finally admitted to the rest of the world or at least the girls doing Stashing Thru The Snow with me my deep dark secret…

Hidden Stash

I not only have scrapbooking kits stored neatly and properly in baskets and shelves around my room, but I also have quite the collection shoved in a drawer hidden from all.

However, for today’s Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge Your Deep Dark Secret Stash I dug into that drawer and pulled out a kit to use.

My layout~

Cowgirl 2

As you can see I didn’t hold back on using the kit contents.

In fact, I also grabbed much of my own October Afternoon Sasparilla stash and used it as well.

A few close-ups~

I call this a success in using my stash.

And if I keep at it, I might just be able to open and shut that drawer with ease.

So, where do you hide your deep dark secret stash?

I Heart You.~

And I heart this fabulous little card I spotted on Pinterest.

So, I decided to use it as my inspiration for the Cricut Circle Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge: You’ve Pinned It, You’ve Liked It, You’ve Bookmarked It, So Make It!!

My card~

I heart you.

As you can see I stayed really close to the original card with just a few minor changes.

But, the heart remained the same.

A close-up~

I heart you. close up

I heart that I was able to use so many of my leftovers from a previous Teresa Collins class.

It makes my little heart go pitter patter to be using not only my stash of supplies, but also some of those wonderful projects I’ve loved and pinned.

I used~

Then & Now~

My how the times have changed.

That is exactly what went through my mind when I first laid eyes on the new October Afternoon Saturday Mornings collection.

Seriously, this could be me~

Then & Now Girl

Except it would have to be me at my Mema’s house.

Her house was where we got to watch the cool cartoons on Saturday mornings when we visited.

She got ABC which had the Super Friends, Captain Caveman, School House Rock and many others that we couldn’t get at home.

I wish you could have seen the look of utter confusion on my children’s faces when I tried to explain this to them.

These kids have grown up with hundreds of channels, DVD’s and downloads at their finger tips and one of the greatest inventions ever…the remote.

My layout~

Then & Now

So, how could they possibly understand? He he.

A close-up~

I think the second greatest invention just might be the car DVD system.

Especially when I get to ride in back with them.

In case you were wondering, I am a TV-holic and am happily raising my children to be TV-holics too.

This could be us~

Then & Now family

Guess I’d should be responsible and make sure they’re doing something other than watching TV like reading….even if it’s the TV Guide. Ha!

I used~

October Afternoon Saturday Mornings Omelette and Orange Juice Paper, Border & Labels, Flair
Woodland Park 8×8 Paper Pad, Little Flyers, Sequins, Ranger Kraft Tag, Kraft Paper, Leaf Thickers, Dear Lizzy Date Stamp

If you saw my December Daily 2014: December 23rd page, you probably already know about my ordeal of trying to reenact the I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus scene.

If you didn’t, let me just say it didn’t go quite like I had envisioned. Sigh.

But, it did create a wonderful memory filled with lots of laughter and lots of kisses.

And lots and lots of what I would consider outtakes much like the one I used here.

My layout~

I already had my Maggie Holmes Open Book Collection out, so I picked a sketch from Pinterest to create my layout.

I thought the creams, greens and golds of the collection would be perfect for my picture filled with the bright lights of our Christmas tree.

You’re Pretty Much My Favorite Of All Time In The History Of Ever.~

Yep, that’s pretty much how I feel about this little girl.

All my children actually.

But, this is the littlest’s Hello 2015 album.

And this is the picture she chose for its start~

Smile Page One

Oh my.

However the next picture which I chose is just cuteness overload.

My little panda~

Page Two

I continued the panda theme by using Mama Elephant Pandamonium stamps to create a panda and sequin filled pocket to compliment my other card filled pockets and flair badge.
