December Daily 2016: December 6th ~ 8th~

This is a rare occurrence at night in the Andrews house ….all the kids together and in the same room.

I HAD to take a picture!!

December 6th~

Usually between homework, baths, bottles and bedtimes everyone is spread throughout the house.

December 7th & 8th~

The next morning Tinsel was found right outside Hartly’s room.

We think he was watching over her since she spent the first night in her bedroom.

Hartly had been sleeping in the baby’s room to help out. Wink, wink.

For the 8th I just had to include the random picture of Christmas tree decorations that I found on my phone.

Of course I went straight to Hartly thinking she had taken the picture.

Apparently someone else took it.

Any guesses as to who?

My pages together ~

I used~

Simple Stories Snap Album, various October Afternoon Christmas collections, sequins, tags, twine

December Daily 2016: December 5th~

What’s the best way to a young teen’s heart?

That is exactly what Christopher Newport University used last night to tempt and woo my two high school seniors.

December 5th~

Ashlyn and Holden went to CNU’s Dessert Event held at The Jefferson Hotel to meet the President of the school and to learn more about CNU.

A few close-ups ~

They made their Mom happy by posing for lots and lots of pictures.

Yes, that’s an alligator all decked out for Christmas peeking in the bottom of this picture.

Do you know why? They didn’t.

I limited myself to only two pictures for this day,  but I printed all the others.

I plan to include them somehow…maybe tucked in an envelope or even possibly another insert.

I used~

Simple Stories Snap Album, October Afternoon various Christmas collections, Tim Holtz metal numbers

December Daily 2016: December 1st & 2nd~

There is nothing quite like the excitement of a small child during the holidays.

Maybe that’s why our children are so spaced out!! He he.

This year’s excitement was increased tenfold by the purchase of both a Star Wars Lego and Disney Tsum Tsum Advent calendars.

Ever since Hartly spied them in early October she’s been anxiously awaiting the first of December to see what surprise each day holds.

Yes, it’s been a long Fall.

As you can imagine on the first Hartly didn’t know what to do first: find Tinsel the Elf, open the Advent calendars or talk to the North Pole on our Communicator.

But Whitley did!

December 1st~

I was greeted by her as I walked in the door from work with cookies all over the floor and one in her hand.

Turns out she loves Oreos.

December 2nd~

Oh Tinsel…how we’ve missed you.

He’s back and up to his silly ways.

Turns out he likes Reese Cups.

He he.

I used~

Simple Stores Snap Album, October Afternoon various Christmas collections, sequins, Thickers

Check That Off My List~

I’ve got my cover ready!!

Woot woot!!

My December Daily 2016 cover~

I’m using a Simple Stories Snap Album, because the page size is just right. Not too big and not too small.

I especially love how much this little binder holds.

As you can see I used lots and lots of various October Afternoon Christmas collections.

A few close ups~

With time being so limited this year  I won’t be listing all of my supplies, so if you have a question about what I’ve used please ask.

I have also started prepping by picking and trimming paper, grouping the embellishments I want to use and storing them together in the pocket pages.

I’m trying to keep this manageable and doing as much as possible while the baby naps.

Want to see the chaos of my desk?

I know….YIKES!!

You should see the floor!!

I used~

Simple Stories Snap Album, October Afternoon various collections, twine, ribbon, sequins, jingle bells, Thickers and Modge Podge

The magic of Disney is just something to behold.

Especially on a young child’s face.

My layout~

I love the smile on Hartly’s face as she gets a hug from Cinderella.

A few close-ups~

Believe Close 1

And even more the uncertainty to whatever Cinderella has asked her in the next photo.

If my memory serves me correct it had something to do with her older brother possibly being a prince.

Believe Close 2

Wanting my pictures to be the focus I kept things pretty simple with a few banners, buttons and wood veneer.

Love Me & The Mouse~

We are currently in the middle of Snowpocalypse 2016 here in Virginia.

So, several of my crafty friends and I decided to have challenges to keep us busy.

And to take our minds off the fact that we missed out on getting that last gallon of milk or loaf of bread. He he.

Seriously….did you see the news?

There was none to be found for miles!!

Snowpocalypse 2016 Challenge #1: Scraplift Someone.

I decided to take on this fabulous layout from Paige Taylor Evans~

Swoon. Right?

With me still being in Disney mode I made a few alterations.

My layout~

As you can see I didn’t use the buttons, but I really didn’t have that many in Disney colors.

So, I chose to use patterned paper instead.

A close-up~

I did add several embellishment clusters similar to the original.

And believe me, I will be revisiting the original layout to use up my button stash.

Make sure you check out more of Paige’s layouts as they are all so inspiring.

December Daily 2015: December 8th~

Today was a BIG day for a certain little girl.

The Santa Shop opened at school and she went armed with her list and money.

December 8th~

I used an old Christmas card and envelope to hold her list, my picture and journaling tag.

She spent the entire ride home from school telling me what she bought for everyone but me and ran right up to her room to wrap each gift.

Her excitement and pure joy from buying the simplest of  gifts for  each of us brought me to tears.

And isn’t that what this holiday season is about?

December Daily 2015: December 3rd – 5th~

It’s the weekend which means I can catch up, because the end of our week was crazy busy.

It all began with my Dad’s 70th birthday on Thursday.

Not only did we have a party, but also a parade.

Okay, the parade was actually the Town Of Crewe’s Christmas parade. He he.

December 3rd~

My Mom is the Mayor of Crewe, so she, Dad and Hartly all rode on the Town’s float.

And one little girl had the best time.

A close-up~

I felt it was important to include Tinsel, our Elf On The Shelf, since he was being a bit naughty.

Thankfully nothing was broken. Yet.

I mentioned earlier that Holden has been sick all week.

That lead to a big discussion about whether he should push the button on the North Pole Communicator possible contaminating it with his germs.

Needless to say we let him have his turn.

December 4th~

Until there was opera singing involved then Hartly quickly stepped in.

A close-up~

Speaking of Tinsel Hartly has decided to trust him to take her Christmas card and Wish List to Santa on tonight’s North Pole run.

December 5th~

She carefully placed her envelope next to Tinsel in hopes he’ll remember it.

Good luck with that!

I’m not sure I trust that little guy, but she does.

A close-up~

So now I am caught up.

For now.

2015 December Daily~

It’s hard to believe, but it’s that time again.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas!!

Which also means it’s time to start thinking about and more importantly working on my 2015 December Daily album.

This year I decided not to purchase a December Daily kit.

Who am I kidding?

This year I didn’t purchase multiple December Daily kits.

I did purchase the new Under The Tree collection from October Afternoon and the Simple Stories 6×8 Holiday Snap album to add to my extensive Christmas stash.

And I might have picked up a few odds and ends as well, but the bulk of this year’s album will come from my stash.

The cover~

I love this holiday album from Simple Stories, so I chose papers from both October Afternoon and Pretty Little Studio to embellish it.

I stamped a Tim Holtz Santa Stamp onto text paper to play off the text on the binding of the album.

A close-up~

I added Wink Of Stella to Santa’s beard and trim, so he sparkles.

I even made my own reindeer charm using Modge Podge.

Some of you know that I don’t usually have great luck using any type of liquid adhesive, but this was simple, easy and quick.

And I managed not to glue anything to the table or to myself. Yay!

The calendar~

Once again the fabulous Marie from Stitch In Time has provided free December calendar printables.

Isn’t this one adorable?

I added a few can’t miss dates to mine.

So will you be making a December Daily?

If so, let me know.

I’d love to see what you make.

I used~

Simple Stories 6×8 Holiday Snap Album, October Afternoon Under The Tree Collection, October Afternoon Silent Night Collection, Pretty Little Studio At Home Paper and Die Cuts, Tim Holtz Santa Stamp, Jewelry Box Thickers, Ribbon, Modge Podge Charms/Metal Blanks , Modge Podge Dimensional Magic, Sequins, Wink Of Stella

If you have any questions about any supply I’ve used, please ask.

I Am A Princess~

Well….maybe I’m not, but Hartly sure is.

While planning our Disney 2014 trip she repeatedly told us that Rapunzel was the princess she most wanted to meet.

I believe her exact words were she just had to see her!

So, I made sure to get Fast Passes to do just that.

My layouts~

There was much talk of long blonde hair, frying pans and even talk of a Snuggly Duckling outing.

A few close-ups~

Rapunzal-Close I-am-a-princess-close

These are the first pages I’ve made in a long, long time.

I’m talking months!!

I feel like they’re missing something or that I just quite haven’t gotten my groove back.

Guess that means I need to get busy making more layouts, right?
