Do I Even Want to Know?

I had to giggle at the BoBunny paper that came in the newest Scarlet Lime kit.

With two teenagers and a toddler I think I hear just about ALL of these sayings on a daily basis.

My layout~

Want-to-Know

No one can remember what was exactly caused Ashlyn to hide behind her iPad case in the picture, but with that and the look on Holden’s face it was just too funny not to document.

And it went perfectly with this paper.

Since I loved so many of the sayings and wanted to have as many of them visible as possible, I kept my picture and embellishments clustered in a one area.

While I don’t know what’s actually going on in the picture, I am quite certain that at least one of these sayings was made.

I used~
Scarlet Lime Kit Contents: BoBunny Family Is Happy and Nuts Paper, Little Yellow Bicycle Just Because Paper and Vellum Tape
Studio Calico Badges, MME Fun Day Happy Days Buttons, Doll Thickers, October Afternoon Black & Cream Sticky Keys

A Chain of Hearts~

With Valentine’s Day approaching I thought I would make a cute little heart banner.

My original plan was to cut the hearts, emboss them and then run them through the sewing machine.

Quick, simple and easy.

Of course, nothing ever goes as planned.

My banner~

Heart-Garland

The hearts cut at 3″ and 2.4″ high are from Cricut Craft Room Basics.

They ended up being a little bigger than I expected and the reason I changed plans.

Close Ups~

I used several of my favorite embossing folders to add texture.

I then decided I would layer several of the hearts by stapling them together using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

If you do not have a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher RUN now to your local craft store and buy one.

It is that wonderful!

Instead of the sewing machine I used ribbon to string my hearts, and it was around this point that I decided to add pictures to them.

Luckily I had a bunch of pictures from a family photo session that I quickly printed in a contact sheet size in Photoshop.

And if you add photos, you have to add some embellishments. Right?

Hmmm…this sounds an awful lot like a certain mouse and a cookie.

I used~
DCWV Be Mine Stack
Crate Paper Fourteen Chipboard, Celebrate It Ribbon
Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and Gem Clips
Scarlet Lime Kit Contents: Crate Paper Fourteen Accent Stickers
CCR and Cricut Craft Room Basics for the Hearts and Scalloped Hearts cut at 3″ and 2.4″ high
Cuttlebug Folders D’vine Swirl, Script and Wood Grain

A Bad Case of Stripes & Giggles

Another one down! This layout is for the Studio Calico Blog Challenge to Use Five or More Photos on one page.

This is NOT a problem for me as I hate to leave any picture behind. So, I dug out these pictures from Christmas 2008 of all the cousins dressed in striped PJ’s.

Well, all but one. They didn’t make the jammies in his size!

They had such a good time that it was hard to get all of them looking at the camera.

And I had such a good time looking for stripes for this layout I even mixed items from my Noel Mignon, Scarlet Lime and Studio Calico kits.

But, don’t worry! Everyone is back home in their proper bag. I don’t know why I can’t combine them. Maybe one day…

I used~
Mickey Font and CCR to cut them at approximately 1″
Scarlet Lime kit items: Pebbles Country Picnic Greenhouse paper, AC Sprout Greenhouse paper
Noel Mignon kit itmes: Amy Tangerine Scene glitter letters
Studio Calico March Illustrated kit: MME Fun Day diecut borders
Kraft cardstock, Martha Stewart Mini envelopes

I guess with the additon of two more cousins to the family, it’s about time to do this again.

Wonder what Ashlyn and Holden will think of that since they’re now teenagers? Wonder if I can find jammies in their size now? He he!

My 1st Happy Meal!

Yes, here in the Andrews’s household we celebrate EVERYTHING! Fast food included.

This is my layout following Sketch Six from Studio Calico’s Sketchbook Four class.
I am loving this class!

Here is my layout~

I used Echo Park This & That collection papers.

I love how the Pink Paislee spool buttons match and add some dimension to my border.

I just had to make my own happy smile to match Hartly’s Happy Meal box!

I used the smiley face from Feeling Groovy and hid all the features but the smile. It was cut at 5.35 inches to align with my journaling. For that I simply used Microsoft Works Skinny Jeans font.

And that’s about as close as Hartly will be getting to skinny jeans! At least for now. She’s my chunky monkey!!

I used~
Echo Park This & That papers
Kraft paper, Gold cardstock
Pink Paislee Spool Buttons from my Scarlet Lime kit
Thickers Lullaby and Jewelry Box

No matter where I go~

I have 10 toes to keep me entertained.

Both of my girls LOVED their toes! Holden not so much.

The girls could keep themselves busy playing with toes, socks and shoes.
And only one has out grown this!

So, when I came across this picture of Hartly and her piggies I knew I had to use it on my layout for Sketch Three of my Sketchbook 4 class. I followed the sketch closely.

I used the April Studio Calico City of Lights kit. The papers were a perfect match for my picture picking up Hartly’s skin tone and the green of the grass out the car window. I added a sheet of MME Miss Caroline Howy Doody “Lovely” Mums paper.

I thought the Studio Calico Please Note number stamp would be a cute addition.

Included in the City of Lights kit was the Enjoy the Ride stamp which I used in red to highlight the red in the paper. I added a few other MME embellishments to finish off my layout.

I used~
City of Lights kit contents: Studio Calico Register paper, Bella Blvd’s Spring Flings and Easter Things Mom’s Bouquet paper, Enjoy the Ride stamp
My Mind’s Eye Miss Carlonie brads, Miss Caroline Howy Doody “Lovely” Mums paper
Glitter Ribbon from the SC Story Hour kit
SC Please Note stamp
American Crafts Flair Good Golly badges from my Scarlet Lime kit
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.
Stampin Up Melon Mambo ink, black ink

And I must hurry as Hartly needs her shoes on RIGHT NOW!!

Happy~

This layout makes me extremely happy. That smile! Those little chubby arms and cheeks. It melts my heart. I would add that it warms my heart thinking of warm Spring Days and outfits, but it would appear we skipped Spring and went straight to Summer here!

While digging through pictures today I came across this picture and knew it would be perfect for the Circle Weekly Challenge to make a Spring project incorporating ric rac and a sticker. I pulled out my most recent Scarlet Lime kits and fell in love with the Pink Paislee She Art papers. The bright, happy colors along with the paper flowers and stickers were perfect for my picture.

And it just so happens yesterday while at Hobby Lobby I picked up a package of the Paper Studio Fibers in plans to use them in a layout based on Hartly’s capris. Yes, I was going to and still might do a layout based on pants! Crazy, I know. But, they are really cute.

Anyway, the ric rac matches everything!

My happy layout~

The title~

Cut from Simply Charmed at 5.53″ wide. I pop dotted it and added the dimensional bee sticker to the letter a.

My picture and it’s mat~

I cut the mat from Elegant Edges at 5 x 4.7″. After I made the cut I decided I wanted to include more of this wonderful paper, so I pop dotted the matted picture, inked the edges and used the whole length of the paper. I really like the effect.

I used~
Scarlet Lime kit contents: Pink Paislee She Art papers: Truth and Courage, American Craft Delight Sage Paper Flowers and Remarks Thyme Dimensional Stickers
Paper Studio Fibers, We R Memory Keepers floss, Martha Stewart inks, Kraft paper

I hope this makes you happy too!
