I Am A Princess~

Well….maybe I’m not, but Hartly sure is.

While planning our Disney 2014 trip she repeatedly told us that Rapunzel was the princess she most wanted to meet.

I believe her exact words were she just had to see her!

So, I made sure to get Fast Passes to do just that.

My layouts~

There was much talk of long blonde hair, frying pans and even talk of a Snuggly Duckling outing.

A few close-ups~

These are the first pages I’ve made in a long, long time.

I’m talking months!!

I feel like they’re missing something or that I just quite haven’t gotten my groove back.

Guess that means I need to get busy making more layouts, right?

Hello Sand Flea~

Lately I have been a bit busy working on some top-secret projects.

Actually, they’re just swap items and my Disney 2011 album.

Last night I remembered this little layout I made back during the Noel Mignon Cruise Crop for the Port Of Call Challenge: Scrap Your Vacation Pictures.

I had previously posted it to the Facebook challenge page and decided it was time to get it on my blog.

So imagine how ironic it was this morning to see that I had been scraplifted by Noel Mignon Design Team member, Virginia Tillery!!

I am beyond flattered.

My layout~

I used lots and lots of my Crate Paper The Pier collection to layer and embellish this adorable picture of Hartly playing in the sand.

That child loves the sand.

She manages to get it everywhere. Sigh.

I hope you’ll take the time to check out Virginia’s version of my layout.

She uses the sweetest and most adorable picture!

And it’s totally sand free.

I used~

Crate Paper The Pier Paper Pad, 6×6 Paper Pad, Ephemera, Letter Embellishments, Chipboard Frames, Studio Calico Sequins, Wood Veneer, Chic Tag Everyday Life Journal Tags and OA Kraft & Black Mini Market Alphas

Smile Big & Take My Picture~

I don’t know about you, but I might have a few scrapbooking supplies tucked away here and there.

Okay, I have A LOT!

So when my cousin suggested we sign up for Aly Dosdall’s Super Stashbuster Class over at Big Picture Class, I was all in.

I followed Aly’s Sketch One for Challenge One Oddly Enough: Use three different sets of odd embellishments on your page.

My layout~

The sketch called for several smaller photos, so I thought this would be the perfect time to use my Instax pictures.

Then I simply layered and grouped my various embellishments including brads, wood buttons, enamel dots and journaling tags.

And now I have a big dent in my stash.

Okay, maybe a small scratch would be more accurate.

He he.

S & T~

Ever have a project that started out simple, but then went all crazy?

That describes this layout perfectly.

It all started with Shimelle’s Weekend of Challenges and especially her Scrapbooking Your Significant Other Challenge.

I knew I wanted to try out Paige Evans’ fabulous Hearts Heart Cut file, and it cut perfectly using my Cricut Explore.

Then everything sort of came to a complete halt when I realized I didn’t have any more pictures of Travis that I hadn’t already used. Sigh.

Which led to the kids trying to take a picture of us after dinner.

That was a scream!

My layout~

Unfortunately I’ve lost my supply list, but everything for this layout came from the Noel Mignon Balboa Kit.

And would you like to know who ended up taking this picture?

And I still giggle when looking at this layout remembering our photo shoot.

Sprinkles Make Me Happy & So Do You~

Who doesn’t love sprinkles?

Okay, maybe Ashlyn.

But, that’s just on cupcakes.

Sprinkles are just so fun. And happy. And in this case sparkly.

My card~

I used the Papertrey Ink Make It Market Shakers & Sprinkles kit filled with dies, stamps, sequins and just about everything you need to make a shaker card.

A close-up~

Taking a tip from Maria I added some micro beads since they matched the My Mind’s Eye patterned papers perfectly.

Hopefully the birthday girl was sprinkled with lots of love and happiness on her big day.

And for some reason I’m now craving cupcakes. He he.

I used~

Oh Pooh~

Not too long ago we had a 70 degree weekend in February, so we packed up and headed to the beach.

We went out for some fresh air and a morning walk on the beach where it was just us and one lone seagull.

And I guess you know what happened next…

My layout~

That one lone seagull got Travis.

And got him good. He he.

I used~

My Book Of Love~

Just in time for Valentine’s Day the ladies over at NoelMignon.com decided to have a Book Of Love Crop.

While I haven’t finished, I do have a nice little start to my own Book Of Love.

Cupid’s Arrow: Use arrows as a design element~

This challenge gave me the perfect excuse to dig out my Amy Tangerine Templates and add a bit of stitching to my page.

A close up~

I wanted all of my pages to be sturdy, so the base for each is a sheet of DCWV Corrugate paper.

Shades of Love: Use 5 colors from the inspiration picture~

This is one of my favorite pictures of the kids, so it had to be included in this album.

A close up~

I added bits and pieces from a Dear Lizzy Die Cut Cardstock pack since the colors were a perfect match for the color challenge.

Diamond’s Are A Girl’s Best Friend: Use 3 sparkling items on your page and a bonus if it features your own special jewelry~

I used sparkly paper, sparkly twine and gems for the diamond challenge.

Is there anything cuter than tiny baby toes?

I think not.

A close up~

Star Crossed: Use stars as a big part of your page~

Since this is a Book Of Love, I thought it be okay to be a little mushy.

And yes, I still get stars in my eyes when I look at this man.

A close up~

I layered several stars I cut with my Brother Scan & Cut along with several DCWV Star gems.

I’m hoping to work on several more challenges to complete my Book Of Love.

Feel free to check out the Noel Mignon Blog or Facebook Group to join in.

I used~

DCWV Corrugate Stack, Noel Mignon Book Of Love Kit, Dear Lizzy Die Cut Cardstock Shapes, Amy Tangerine Capture Set and DCWV Gems
