Such Spooky Fun~

Making Pocket Letters!!

Really, they’re quite addictive.

This time around our little group made Halloween and Fall themed Pocket Letters to swap with a partner.

My Halloween Pocket Letter~

Halloween 2

I used mainly the My Mind’s Eye Mischievous Collection with a few added elements from a past Noel Mignon kit.

My favorite being that cute Boo! ghost tag from We R Memory Keepers.

I even tried something new and attached the Happy Halloween tag using an Action Wobble.

The back~

Halloween Back

In an effort to keep all the goodies I’m sending in place, I made gift card sized envelopes to stuff and slide in the pockets.

I have to admit that when it came to the Fall Pocket Letter I was a bit stumped at first.

Especially since I traded Fall Postcards last year to the exact same partner.

So, I went old school and pulled out Bella Blvd’s Finally Fall Collection.

Happy Fall Y’all~

Fall PL

Simple yet adorable, I think.

And making me long for cool, crisp Fall days.

I Gave A Letter To The Postman~

Actually, I gave several to him.

I joined in a Pocket Letter Swap with several of the ladies from our Cricut Circle Good Morning Facebook Group.

You don’t know what a Pocket Letter is?

Well, neither did I until I visited this Janette Lane’s blog for a perfect description and joined this fabulous Pocket Letter Inspiration and Inspiration Facebook group.

After figuring it all out I jumped right in.

My first glitzy pocket letter~

My Minds

My first partner listed My Mind’s Eye as one of her favorite companies, so I added plenty of gold and sparkle to match her personality to the Sky’s The Limit Collection.

I included a personal letter and a 5 Things About Me list.

Each of my other partners took part in the 30 Day Color Challenge, so I came up with a different pocket letter for them.

My coloring inspired pocket letter~

Little Kids

I paired October Afternoon’s Sidewalk collection with the adorable Mama Elephant In My Heart stamps to create a cute little pocket letter full of love and playfulness.

I even included a set of stamped and die cut children for each of them to color and use on a project of their own.

All of them together~

Little Kids Together

This was a great way to practice my coloring. He he.

Next up….Halloween Pocket Letters, so I’m trying to decide if I should go cutesy or creepy.

I used~

A Little Christmas Cheer~

One of my Facebook Groups decided to have a Secret Santa Swap and you know me… I just had to join in.

What’s more fun than shopping for crafting supplies?

Especially if you use my shopping plan: buy one for them and one for you. He he.

I made my partner a Christmas tray~

Christmas 2014 Tray

I left plenty of room for her to add pictures, memorabilia or whatever she’d like.

I have to say that I just love the Santa images found in the My Mind’s Eye Joyous collection.

A few close-ups~

To add a bit of texture I used a piece of stenciled burlap that you might remember from this post.

I also embossed a journaling card and used lots and lots of Pop Dots.

Want to see what I got from my partner, the super talented Gina Piazza?

A wreath for my deer~

And yes, every bit of that wreath is made from paper. Swoon!

A Little Spooky Mail~

Every once in a while it’s good to challenge yourself.

Or so I’m told.

I decided to do this by joining in the Cricut Message Board Fabulous Partnered Postcard Swap.

Sounds easy, right?

That’s what I thought until someone mentioned they needed to be flat and mail-able. Yikes!

Most of you know that I don’t do flat well. He he.

My postcards~

Halloween-Postcards

I used bits and pieces from several of my favorite Halloween collections layered on chipboard.

A few close-ups~

Remember when I mentioned my shaker card addiction?

I know there’s NO way this is passing any postal regulations.

But, it’s cute.

Halloween-Postcards-Close2

I used Glow In the Dark glitter to add extra steam to my little witch’s cauldron.

And I sent a note to my partner suggesting she not to mail this one either.

I’m hoping the rest will be okay as I tried to keep them simple.

Howling Fun!!~

This Saturday I took joined in True Scrap 6, an online, live virtual paper crafting event hosted by Lain Ehmann.

While I was busy watching and learning from teachers like Jennifer Gallacher, Nichol Margouirk, Noel Hyman and many others I decided to do a bit of coloring.

Multi-tasking at it’s best, right?

I colored several images, but I needed a little card to slip into a package I was sending.

And this little guy was perfect for it.

My card~

Howling-Watermark

I colored Tiddly Inks Spooking Pup, cut him and a shadow layer with the Brother Scan & Cut and layered various elements from the My Mind’s Eye Mischievous collection.

A Tale Of Two Layouts~

I think I’ve mentioned before that my favorite part of each beach trip is watching the kids make that first walk to be beach.

Last weekend I got the best picture of Hartly in her beach cover up and floppy hat making that trip.

It was adorable despite the fact that she was pouting at having to wear both.

This weekend I’m joining in Shimelle’s Weekend of Online Scrapbooking.

Her first challenge is to use her Sketch 34 featuring a photo, lots of space and a banner.

And of course, I wanted to use that picture.

However I had the hardest time getting my picture to print, so I ended up with several copies which ended up being a good thing.

Love You This Day~

Love-You-This-Day

I used the new My Mind’s Eye Market Street collection with it’s fabulous mix of colors and gold accents.

I chose the striped paper as my background thinking the blush color picked up the same coloring in the sand.

A close-up~

Love-You-Close-Up

Then I simply had fun layering the various embellishments in the collection.

To be totally honest I haven’t decided if I actually like this layout.

And then Ashlyn told me it was just so-so.

Hmmm….

So, what’s a girl to do?

Make another, right?

Here We Go~

Here-We-Go

This time I played with Crate Paper’s fabulous The Open Road Collection with the exact same sketch.

A close-up~

Here-We-Go-Close-1

For whatever reason this layout feels a bit more natural to me.

Same picture.

Same sketch.

Two different collections.

Two different themes.

But, same little girl pouting on her way to the beach.

I used~

Love You This Day~

The Perfect Vacation Part Part Four~

Days into our vacation and this child still will not go anywhere near the waves and ocean water.

Sigh.

Silly girl~

Silly-Girl-Web

But, that didn’t mean she still didn’t have fun.

It was just at the pools and lazy river.

A close up~

I used various prints from DCWV’s Honey Chic stack that I had remaining from following Shimelle’s Perfect Collection Cutting Guide.

I had such little paper left over that to complete my beach pictures I had to add a few extras from the stack.

Treasure the good times & live it up~

Treasure-Pocket

I used this month’s DCWV Stack-a-holic Challenge Sketch to complete my left page.

The left page~

Treasure

At long last the weather and tide changed, so we had some tidal pools that Hartly would play and splash around in.

Thank goodness!

A close up~

Treasure-Close

I used a pocket page to add the final pictures and to use some of the fabulous journal cards found in the stack.

With this two page spread I am proud to say that I used each and every print in the stack. Yippee!

So, I hope you’ll do the same.

Or at least grab a DCWV stack and join in this month’s challenge. He he.
