I {Moust}ache~

Say thanks.

Silly, I know.

I won’t even tell you the reaction I got from my kids and hubby when I showed it to them.

Think blank stares and eye rolls.

But, it did give me the opportunity to use the cute mustache print paper found in DCWV’s La Boutique Vintage Stack from Hobby Lobby. He he.

My card~

Cards, cards & more cards~

December is not only filled with holiday get togethers for us, but both of my parents have birthdays.

Which of course means cake! Yum!

Actually, it means even more get togethers and a need for birthdays cards.

My Dad’s card~

I love, love, love the photo strip paper found in the October Afternoon Midway Collection.

It reminds me of pictures of my Dad as a teen, so I thought it would be perfect for his card.

The inside of my card said~ Smile! You’re still looking good.

And yes, it made him laugh.

My Mom’s card~

I love all the journal invitation cards found in the Cakewalk collection.

I used two on the outside of the card and a third as a pocket to hold a gift card.

The inside~

Then I made the 5.5 Mailer Box from Lori Whitlock to hold my card.

The box~

This box is fabulous and I plan on using it a lot in the future.

It seems I never know what to put my cards in to give since they don’t fit in standard envelopes.

The way this box is made it is strong enough to even mail.

Love that!

My Stash card~

Eva from the Cricut Circle Message Board sent me a special treat, the Webster Pages Sprinkles Box.

Since I had joined the Use Your Stash Challenge which meant we couldn’t buy anything for ourselves until the day after Christmas, she didn’t want me to go without and bought me one.

Isn’t she the sweetest?

To thank her for adding to my stash I made her a card using the Midway collection and I sent her a bunch of goodies for her stash.

So, that really shouldn’t count as breaking the rules.

This is Absolutely Fantastic!~

I don’t think I’ve had this much fun crafting in a long time.

I think I giggled through the whole process.

And it all started with the purchase of the DCWV the Snapshot Stack.

I love this stack.

I love the colors, the prints and of course the camera images.

So when I had to come up with a project to share here and over at the Cricut FANatic blog, I decided to make this a family affair.

I wanted to have snapshots of the kids and me just having some good old fun.

And what’s more fun than making your 13 year olds wear funny looking hats, glasses and mustaches while posing with a giant Polaroid cut out?

I know NOTHING! Right?

My props~

I used various images from my Cricut Imagine collection to make my props with the Hello Speech Bubble being my absolute favorite.

With all the options found on the Best Friends cartridge I could have had an entire wardrobe, but I think I’ll save that for next time.

The Mustaches & Glasses Digital Cartridge was perfect for this as well.

Those glasses were super simple to assemble.

I simply adhered all of the images on to wood skewers with Glossy Accents.

My album~

My album pages are 5 x 6″ giving me plenty of room for multiple pictures and embellishments.

I printed all of my pictures as 3 x 3″, so they could easily be trimmed to fit into the glittered Polaroid paper found in the stack.

I have to tell you that I am still giggling at these pictures.

So, I think that means this project was a success!

And I have embarrassing pictures stored away for the future!
