The BasicGrey Hopscotch paper, Fancy Pants Ribbon and We R Memory Keepers Good Day Sunshine Chipboard Sayings that Crystal from ScrapBuck.com sent me just makes me happy.

So what else could I do but put them all together to make a thinking of you card?

My card~

I love all the cute flowers found on the patterned paper, so I thought I would make my own using the Cricut Mother’s Day Bouquet cartridge.

I used the glitter daisies as leaves for my flowers by cutting them in half and tucking them under the flower petals.

I wanted my glitter butterfly to stand out a bit, so I glued it to a flat head stick pin that I inserted directly into the flowers.

My card has so much dimension that I wouldn’t want to put it in an envelope that could flatten it, so I used my Silhouette to make a Lori Whitlock Mailer Box.

My box~

To dress up my box I repeated the flower, ribbon and butterfly stick pin, but if left plain it can be used to actually mail my card.

The set~

I used~
BasicGrey Hopscotch Hoppy Taw, Tire Swing and Mash Game Paper, Fancy Pants Woven Ribbon, BasicGrey Buttons, We R Memory Keepers Good Day Sunshine Chipboard, Foral Embellishments by Forever In Time Daisies & Butterflies

Kraft Paper, Stick Pins, Papertrey Ink Ad Sense Stamps
Mother’s Day Bouquet for flowers cut at 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75″
Lori Whitlock 5.5″ Mailer

Sending Love Your Way~

This wreath was made over a year ago as a gift to my Grandmother.

It briefly brightened her room at the nursing home until her passing.

And now it hangs in my study as a constant reminder of her.

The heart holding birds and love phrase found on the Cricut Imagine Better Together cartridge was exactly the sentiment I wanted my wreath to express.

I chose a daisy like flower from the Cricut Mother’s Day Bouquet cartridge, because I think daisies are just a little, happy, go lucky flower.

I used two different patterns from DCWV’s the Blossom Song Stack paper for the flowers and even mixed them together for several of the flowers.

I do suggest double cutting the paper to cut cleanly and completely through the thicker, glossy parts.

That gloss really makes this wreath shine.

Much like the person it was made for did.

I used~
DCWV the Blossom Song Stack
Recollection gems
10″ Grapevine Wreath
Mother’s Day Bouquet for the flowers
Better Together for the birds and sign. The birds were printed and cut at fit to page and the sign at 3.5 inches.

A box full of goodies~

The girls over at the Cricut Circle Message Board and I had a Secret Partner Box Swap! Yippee!

We each purchased kraft boxes from cricut.com while on sale. See we’re smart too!

Then we decorated and filled them with handmade and purchased scrapbook goodness.

I decided to make various tags and embellishments that my partner could easily use as is, disassemble or embellish even more. I think I have included enough goodies for a nice mini album. In fact I cheated and included one in the shipping box! Don’t tell!

I find the hardest part of making and buying things for others is the thought they won’t like what I like. Anyway, it’s the thought that counts right?

Here are the goodies that filled my box~

I included several sheets of Teresa Collins Fabrications Canvas and Linen collections.
This paper feels so soft and smooth. Love it!

I made tags using TBBM. I used words from A Child’s Year and Paper Pups to creat the cut outs.

And guess what my partner’s initial is?

I used Sophisticated for the letter “R.”

The collection of buttons, brads, butterflies and pins I included~

My box top~

I used Mother’s Day Bouquet for the handmade flowers and leaves.

My box all tied up and ready to go to it’s new home~

A close of up of that charming Tim Holtz bird charm~

I used My Mind’s Eye Miss Caroline and Teresa Collins Fabrications collection for all of my decorations and handmade items.

I sure hope my partner likes it!

And here is the wonderful box I received from Scrapperbecka~

First things first~

The card she made me. Isn’t it cute?

My box waiting for me to figure out just HOW to get it out~

Look she even had to add extenders to contain all the goodness she stuffed in it!

A better look at the way she decorated it. Isn’t beautiful? And what a wonderful quote!

All of the wonderful goodies~

I think she included a little bit of EVERYTHING in there~ flowers, ribbon, stamps, brads, buttons, chipboard, tags, notepads, a bracelet and even gel pens for my Cricut!! Oh my!

Thank you SO much Becka! I really appreciate it and can’t wait to start using it ALL!

And most importantly my box will proudly be displayed on my bookshelf.

Also, a BIG thank you to RockinRenee for hosting this swap. This was FUN!!
