Autumn Yummies~

What says Autumn like a caramel apple?

A chocolate covered caramel apple. He he.

Hartly was invited to classmate’s birthday party where she was given a one as a party favor.

And of course, she couldn’t even wait to get in the door to try it.

Me either.

My layout~

Yummies

Between her hair and the caramel apple the colors from DCWV’s The Travel Adventure were a perfect match.

I added a few odds and ends from the Noel Mignon Gather Together kit and topped it all off with a flair badge I made.

Hmmm…I’m thinking one of those sure would be yummy right now.

‘Twas The Night Before Thanksgiving~

If you’re looking for the DCWV & Clear Scraps Blog Hop, please click here.

In our house we’ve been reading family favorite, ‘Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey.

And now Harlty loves it every bit as much as we do, so I made her a card.

My card~

Turkey

It seems Ollie, Stanley, Larry and Moe want to come as guests to our Thanksgiving Day Feast this year and not as a main course.

I decided to play around a bit with the Lettering Delights Kawaii Kalendar turkey image by printing and cutting a few and by cutting individual layers as well.

They’re colors match perfectly with the colors and prints in DCWV The Travel Adventure Stack.

I love when that happens.

In case you were wondering they recommended eating Oreos instead.

And I’m sure she’ll be happy to comply.

What Does The Fox Say?

Yes, I have jumped on the bandwagon.

How could I not after seeing the adorable fox graphics over at Lettering Delights?

The only problem is I get so confused when I go to order.

Do I want the graphics or the cut files or both?

I’ve purchased several of their collections, but I’ve yet to use them.

So, it was Jin over at Under A Cherry Tree to my rescue.

Seriously, if you need help check out her blog.

It is fantastic!!

I followed her step by step tutorials which I’ve listed below to take my Lettering Delights purchases and actually put them to use.

I started by figuring out how to print them and then use my Silhouette to cut the outer edge.

Fox-2

It worked! Yippee!

Fox-3

So, I tempted fate and tried again.

Fox-4

Once I had my images printed and cut I decided to make a card for the Big Kids.

My card~

Fox

I thought the colors from DCWV Sweet Tangerine Stack matched perfectly with my fox and I added a bit of sparkle with the glitter paper.

I used pop dots to lift the top portion of my fox off the card base and sprinkled a few enamel dots for a bit more color and dimension.

I will be away this weekend, so I plan to leave this out on the counter for Ashlyn and Holden to find when they get home from school.

I have a feeling they’ll love it.

Especially since Hartly breaks into song and dance each time she sees it.

He he he.
