Remember how much fun the girls were having with Ashlyn’s Instax camera?

To help keep everyone happy Hartly got her very own for her 5th birthday.

And it just so happens that she got a Hello Kitty Instax one.

Being a bit bigger makes it a lot easier for her to use.

So, we’ve been hearing “click” a lot.

I mean a whole lot.

My layout~

I used DCWV Premium 5 Pack Paper Stack filled with printed cork, kraft, corrugate and shimmer paper.

I simply layered all those fabulous papers and added my embellishments.

I was even lucky enough to find matching thread to use on the Amy Tangerine Sew card.

Now if I can only be so lucky to keep my stash of Instax film hidden from those girls.

This Ash Is …

Awesome. Funny. Cute. Happy. Kind. Quirky. Silly. Mine.

And most important she is loved.

My layout~

This Ash Is

When I saw the This Wash Is Awesome tag on a pair of American Eagle jeans I knew then and there that I wanted to save and to use it for an Ashlyn layout.

It was as if it was made to be paired with the October Afternoon Girl Talk paper with all sorts of adjectives on it.

And now I know that I am not alone in saving little bits and pieces to use on layouts and cards.

In fact, there is a whole group of us digging out our little saved treasures and using them for the Cricut Circle Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge: This & That.

A close-up~

This Ash is Close

I snapped this picture of Ashlyn on her first trip driving through the Drive Thru of our local Hardees.

She did great.

However, I don’t think she appreciated me telling the young lady at the window.

But, she even celebrated with us. He he.

I used~

October Afternoon Daily Flash Girl Talk Collection including Gossip, Dish and Chatter Paper, Flash Blurbs, Memory Cards, Snap Caps and Double Take Stickers
Queen & Co Alphabits

1, 2, 3 & Here We Go~

A new DCWV Stack-a-Holic sketch challenge means it’s the perfect time to get back to work on my Disney 2014 album.

The sketch from pagemaps~

april page sketch 2015

And it just so happens that I need a layout to accompany my Happiness layout.

Please tell me that I’m not the only one who sometimes has to go back and add pages to keep the album and story flowing.

Okay, maybe I am.

My layout~

123 & Here We Go

I used the same prints from the DCWV Chick Chat Stack for this layout as well.

Of course, instead of circles I used Mickey Mouse heads.

A few close-ups~

I guess it’s also a good thing that I take so many pictures, since it makes it that much easier to add pages.

I hope you’ll join in this month’s DCWV Stack-a-holic challenge.

You’re Kidding Me~

I know I’ve already told you about Hartly deciding groundhogs were out and warthogs were in for this year’s Groundhog’s Day when I included it in her Hello 2015 mini album.

But, some stories need to be repeated.

Especially in the album I plan to keep.

So, I made a two page layout using the fabulous Fancy Pants Me-ology collection.

You’re Kidding Me~

Warthog Kidding Me

The bright and bold colors and patterns of the collection were perfect for my colorful story.

Apparently I’ve gotten quite the reputation for making mainly one photo layouts, so I created quite the stir when the ladies at my retreat table saw my second page with two pictures on it.

Happy Warthog’s Day~

But, the pictures were so cute I couldn’t stop myself from using them all.

Happiness Starts Here & Now~

Remember way back in January, I started my 2014 Disney Album?

I’m finally back with another page.

When we arrived at the Magic Kingdom it was an absolutely gorgeous day, and it was also right when the Dream Along With Mickey show started.

Not only was the show entertaining, but we got the biggest kick out of Hartly.

At times she was singing and dancing along and others hiding behind Travis or me.

My layout~

I used DCWV’s Chick Stack filled with bright, happy colors mixed with embellishments from Simple Stories Say Cheese collections.

Guess who’s gotten in the habit of putting her layouts into page protectors?

Luckily this girl, because silly me knocked over an entire glass of tea over on my desk.

Magically not a drop got on either of my layouts. Yay!

Up 2 Something~

I think most of you know by now that Hartly is a huge Toy Story fan.

She is especially fond of Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl.

She spends so much time dressing up like Jessie that it’s no wonder that I have hundreds of pictures of her in that costume.

So while I had my older Studio Calico kit out making One Sweet Cowgirl, I decided to knock out another Jessie layout.

My layout~

Up 2 Somethin

Her expression in this picture is just priceless.

It makes me wonder what she’s about to say or do.

And with this girl anything is possible.

A few close-ups~

I had fun layering all the bits and pieces from both the kit and my own October Afternoon Sasparilla collection.

I kept with the same colors, printed papers and embellishments.

I think the two layouts will look great paired together in my album.

When I get around to putting them in an album that is.

Maybe that needs to be the next Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge.

I used~

Studio Calico Kit Contents: October Afternoon Sasparilla High Noon, Pebbles Fresh Goods Mom & Pop, My Mind’s Eye Sunshine Memories Blossom and 12 Days Of Christmas All The Trimmings Paper, Crate Paper Farmhouse Buttons, Ali Thickers and Ormolu Negative Number Tags
OA Sasparilla Rub Ons, Miscellany, Journal Cards, Stamps, Little Flyers and Basic Grey Metal Studs

One Sweet Cowgirl~

Today I finally admitted to the rest of the world or at least the girls doing Stashing Thru The Snow with me my deep dark secret…

Hidden Stash

I not only have scrapbooking kits stored neatly and properly in baskets and shelves around my room, but I also have quite the collection shoved in a drawer hidden from all.

However, for today’s Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge Your Deep Dark Secret Stash I dug into that drawer and pulled out a kit to use.

My layout~

Cowgirl 2

As you can see I didn’t hold back on using the kit contents.

In fact, I also grabbed much of my own October Afternoon Sasparilla stash and used it as well.

A few close-ups~

I call this a success in using my stash.

And if I keep at it, I might just be able to open and shut that drawer with ease.

So, where do you hide your deep dark secret stash?

I used~

Hello Mouse & Co. 2014~

And goodbye procrastination. He he.

I’ve decided that starting your former Disney vacation album right after you book your next Disney vacation might not be the best way to record all those memories.

So, I am a bit excited to say that I have officially started my Disney 2014 album.

My layout~

Hello Mouse 2014

I wanted everything to compliment rather than compete with my picture of Cinderella’s Castle taken when we first entered the Magic Kingdom, so I chose a textured paper and vellum prints from the DCWV Premium Paper Collection 5 Packs.

The Premium Paper Collection 5 Packs are filled with various types of specialty papers including textured, foil, vellum, burlap and laser cut papers.

A few close-ups~

Hello Mouse 2014 Close 1

Using a Mickey punch and several papers with different textures and finishes I was easily able to make my coordinating Disney embellishments.

If you’ve been to Disney lately, you know that you come home with lots of little collectibles like trading pins and even now your Magic Band, so I decorated a DCWV Kraft Nesting box to house some of Hartly’s little trinkets.

Hartly’s Mouse House~

Mouse House

With just a few bits, pieces and some washi tape her box was ready.

And since she also knows the Nesting Box set includes 11 more boxes that’s a good thing, because it looks like I’ve got more to make.

Oh boy.

I used~

DCWV Premium Paper Collection 5 Pack, DCWV Kraft Nesting Box Set, DCWV Insta Photo Fun Foiled Cardstock Stack
EK Success Mickey Punch, Enamel Dots, Simple Stories Say Cheese Die Cut Elements, October Afternoon Gray & Crème Mini Market, Root Beer Float Thickers, Washi Tape
Cricut Mickey & Friends for the large kraft Mickey head

Then & Now~

My how the times have changed.

That is exactly what went through my mind when I first laid eyes on the new October Afternoon Saturday Mornings collection.

Seriously, this could be me~

Then & Now Girl

Except it would have to be me at my Mema’s house.

Her house was where we got to watch the cool cartoons on Saturday mornings when we visited.

She got ABC which had the Super Friends, Captain Caveman, School House Rock and many others that we couldn’t get at home.

I wish you could have seen the look of utter confusion on my children’s faces when I tried to explain this to them.

These kids have grown up with hundreds of channels, DVD’s and downloads at their finger tips and one of the greatest inventions ever…the remote.

My layout~

Then & Now

So, how could they possibly understand? He he.

A close-up~

I think the second greatest invention just might be the car DVD system.

Especially when I get to ride in back with them.

In case you were wondering, I am a TV-holic and am happily raising my children to be TV-holics too.

This could be us~

Then & Now family

Guess I’d should be responsible and make sure they’re doing something other than watching TV like reading….even if it’s the TV Guide. Ha!

I used~

October Afternoon Saturday Mornings Omelette and Orange Juice Paper, Border & Labels, Flair
Woodland Park 8×8 Paper Pad, Little Flyers, Sequins, Ranger Kraft Tag, Kraft Paper, Leaf Thickers, Dear Lizzy Date Stamp

If you saw my December Daily 2014: December 23rd page, you probably already know about my ordeal of trying to reenact the I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus scene.

If you didn’t, let me just say it didn’t go quite like I had envisioned. Sigh.

But, it did create a wonderful memory filled with lots of laughter and lots of kisses.

And lots and lots of what I would consider outtakes much like the one I used here.

My layout~

I already had my Maggie Holmes Open Book Collection out, so I picked a sketch from Pinterest to create my layout.

I thought the creams, greens and golds of the collection would be perfect for my picture filled with the bright lights of our Christmas tree.

I have to tell you that I still giggle when I look at this picture.
