And isn’t he adorable?

Fall 2012 A Time For Thanks~

With Thanksgiving just around the corner I thought it was the perfect time to make a mini album dedicated to doing just that~ Giving Thanks.

I started with a pack of Celebrate small paper bags that I purchased at Michaels.

I like these bags because they’re just a tad bit nicer and heavier than the bags you find at the grocery store or Target.

Plus, they come in various sizes and colors.

To begin I used Scor-tape to adhere the portion of bottom of the bag to the bag itself.

Then I fold the entire bottom flap over and scored the edge.

You will need to work in pairs and can make your album as big or little as you want.

Once I had the number of pages I wanted taped, scored and ready I then lined them up so that I had my first and last pages and the pairs together.

This makes assembly so much easier.

I used Scor-tape to adhere the two flap portions together.

Then I taped the main bag portions together.

Make sure you use plenty of tape.

Attaching the bags gives you a large page with pockets and then a small page.

I love this since not only will you have tags to insert in the pockets, but you can also fill them with little mementoes.

Now the fun begins and you can decorate your pages with whatever paper you like.

I cut two pieces of chipboard just slightly larger than my bag to use as a cover.

For the spine area simply trim a piece of cardstock and attach the edges to both the front and back cover allowing room for the album to open and close.

Now my mini album is ready to be embellished and even better filled with pictures and memories.

Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

My completed album~

Eye Thank You!~

In case you didn’t know about three weeks ago my hubby’s retina decided to detach itself.

So after two surgeries, one laser procedure and over two and a half weeks spent laying on his left side on the sofa he’s finally returning to normal life.

During this time he missed EVERYTHING!

He missed school, practices and most importantly volleyball games. Eeek!

So to thank all the girls on the team for the continued hard work, well wishes and delicious gift basket, he got them each a special treat.

His thank you gift~

Yes, those are bouncy eyeballs and eyeball rings!

And yes, my hubby is quite the funny guy.

To help continue the eye theme I used the fabulous Jillibean Soup Cup of Eyeball paper a friend sent me for the tags and some eyeball ribbon.

Here’s all 30 of them~

Somehow I think the girls will appreciate the gifts.

They were the ones who started with sending the eye patches and cyclops name calling. Ha!

I used~
Jillibean Soup Monster Stew Cup of Eyeballs paper, Washi Tape, Studio Calico Thank You stamp, Ribbon
