Hello Deer~

Last night I rushed to complete one last challenge for the Cricut Circle Canadian Swarm that ended at midnight.

The challenge was to create a Christmas themed layout using two Cricut cartridges; however, one of the cartridges could not be a holiday cartridge.

So, I grabbed one of my newest cartridges, Home Decor Vinyl Wall Art and fell in love with the sweet, little deer on it.

My layout~

It also helped that my October Afternoon Santa Sack had just arrived, so out came all the Christmas items from it.

Doesn’t Hartly look so sweet, calm and innocent?

At least while sleeping that is.

Be Brave. Be Strong.

Be you.

This is the card hubby and I are giving Hartly as she is starting Nursery School tomorrow.

It’s also my entry for the Circle Weekend Challenge: Back To School.

Or in this case the First Day of School.

My card~

Be-Brave

I love the adorable, brave lion found on the new Cricut Home Décor Vinyl Wall Art cartridge.

I placed him on top of DCWV’s The Handmade Stack fiber paper to make it look like he had fur.

I then hand trimmed a second cut and only secured the edges to make his mane and tail fluff out.

Now if I’m being totally honest I think this card is more for me than her.

I’m the one whose going to need to be brave when dropping her off.

Wish me luck!
