Happy New Year~

Hello 2016!

With the start of the new year have you joined the planner craze?

I tried last year, but quickly fizzled out.

This year I thought I’d try again using it to simply keep track of all my doctor appointments and the rest of the family’s crazy schedules.

Wish me luck!

Of course, I’m going to mix in some craftiness like stamping, pictures and other little sparkly things.

To start the year off right I wanted to dust off my Cricut Explore and make decorative paperclips like the ones  I had been admiring on theplannersociety Instagram feed.

My decorative clips~

Clips

Aren’t they adorable?

I used Cricut’s Seasonal Character to create my Baby New Year and Santa Claus.

I can’t wait for December to roll back around to use this guy.

Santa-close

Of course, he’ll probably end up in my December Daily. He he.

Currently I’m using a sparkly heart clip to hold my place.

And I’m actually using my planner.

Yay!

I used~

A Walk In The Woods~

Have you seen the new DCWV Mini Book kits?

Especially the Kraft & Gold Mini Book?

Swoon.

Seriously, I can’t get enough of kraft and gold together.

And that’s why I paired the Kraft & Gold Mini Book with the Foil Cardstock Stack, Foiled Vellum Stack and even Christmas & Winter Box Of Cards with foil to make my A Walk In The Woods Mini Album.

The cover~

I might have added a few glittered Thickers in there too for extra sparkle.

The prints in the Mini Book are perfect for my outdoorsy pictures, since it’s filled with florals, wood grain and even a bit of a nautical theme.

The kit has 19 printed pages, 20 cutouts, and 2 sticker sheets making it easy to complete especially when you have a four-year old helping you.

I used a few embellishments from the Heidi Swapp Project Life Kit, but I made a lot of my own using my layered heart punch and the coordinating papers.

I Got A Love Letter~

Well, actually two.

Have you seen the new Marquee Love Letters from Heidi Swapp?

Swoon.

As soon as they were available at my Michaels I picked up the letters S and A.

I thought about waiting to decorate them when the new coordinating tapes and glitter came out.

So, they sat looking rather plain~

Letter S

But then the idea came to me to use the same spray paint on them that I had used on my DCWV deer.

My S~

Isn’t it fabulous?

Several others in this house thought so too.

One even ran off with my letter A.

Sigh.

Looks like we’ll be headed back to Michaels for more Love letters.
