Today the current DCWV Design Team is bringing you a group of projects that were made using the newest, cutest DCWV Halloween stack, Eek-a-Boo!
Halloween is quickly approaching and it’s time to turn your spooky crafting up to high gear!
If you didn’t come from Karen’s blog, hop back on your broom and fly to the DCWV blog to make sure you don’t miss a creepy, crawly thing.
Want to know what’s scary?
How much I love shaker cards.
I think it’s why I have so many sequins.
Seriously, I even found a way to put a shaker element on my one of my last layouts.
So when I saw SVGCuts Moon Card in their Haunted Forest Collection, I knew I needed to find a way to turn it into a shaker card.
I grabbed my favorite patterns and colors from the Eek-a-Boo stack and used my Cricut Explore to cut the card.
To create the shaker element I place a transparency sheet under my moon cuts and then used foam tape to create lift and act as a bumper for the sequins.
The making of a shaker card~
I also added an additional layer to the back of the card front to close in the star openings.
We don’t want any sequins falling out.
And just how cute do those DCWV Fall & Halloween star sequins look in there?
Too cute if you ask me.
A few close-ups~
I layered the star cuts with a Halloween flair badge, more sequins and a bit of the Fall & Halloween Chipboard Glitter Frames.
Now run like zombies are chasing you to Rachel’s blog to see what she has in store for you.
Leave comments along the way to be entered to win a treat from DCWV.
You have until Monday Oct 20th at 8 am EST to enter so don’t delay!!
