My Happiness~

Is sitting right there.

My layout~

The bright colors and bold patterns of Bella Blvd are perfect for this layout of my parents and children.

I kept the embellishments simple since there’s so much going on with the patterned paper and that wonderful quilt cut.

I know I will be using that cut again and again.

And can I tell you how those little polka dot letters make me SO happy!

Almost as happy as finally getting a picture of all five of them smiling at the same time.

I used~
Bella Blvd Sunshine & Happiness Juicy Good Times paper, Ciao Chips Icons, Feminine Mix and Neutral Buttons, Yellow Chevron Washi Tape and Spring Flings & Easter Things Alpha Bits
White Cardstock
Lori Whitlock Quilt Card Cut
Martha Stewart Button Punch

This Way to the Beach~

Sister’s glasses? Check.

Daddy’s hat? Check.

Inflatable hippo? Check.

Shoes on the wrong feet? Check.

Hartly is ready to hit the beach.

My layout~

We must have stopped ten times this day while making our way to the beach, because she wasn’t moving unless everything was just right.

It was hysterical, since everything kept sliding and falling off.

But, we made it to the beach.

I decided to dig into my Bella Blvd goodies for this layout.

I love how the new Bella Blvd embellishments can easily be mixed together with the older lines.

It makes my life easier.

And believe me with this little handful I need all the help I can get.

I used~
Bella Blvd All Inclusive Bella Bookin’ on the Beach, Blurbs, Bits a Bella, Oceanview, Bada Bings,Ciao Chips Simply Simona Brownie, Vacation Flags, Sunshine & Happiness Minatures

On a Summer Afternoon~

So My Studio Calico Trendspotting class assignment was on Sunbursts.

I love sunbursts!

I love them on cards, layouts and just about anything you can put them on.

However, this one has been a labor of love.

Each and every step presented itself with some type of issue. Sigh!

But, today Laura at Bella Blvd has a quick and easy tutorial to show you how to make your own fabulous sunburst.

I just wish I had seen this three days ago.

My layout~

I used CCR to elongate a basic triangle shape from George to make several of my ray shapes.

I then hand cut the rest to fill in my shape.

A close up~

I added a little rough stitching and several sticker embellishments.

In the end I love the total effect of the sunburst shape and bright colors reminding me of this Summer afternoon spent on my mother’s porch swing.

Although next time I do believe I will follow Laura’s instructions.

I used~
Bella Blvd Sunshine & Happiness Popcicle Kisses paper, Journaling Stickers and Miniatures, Baby Boy On the Go paper and various other Bella Blvd paper scraps, White Cardstock
CCR and George and Basic Shapes

Oh Deer!~

That was the first thing that came to mind when a Cricut Circle Message Board friend told us her daughter broke her arm.

Especially when school is just around the corner.

But, I also know this friend raises deer.

I believe she’s been know to keep them in her craft room at times.

My card~

I used the border feature found on Cindy Loo to make my card.

No welding involved! Yippee!

The inside~

Hopefully, my little deer will brighten her day.

At least this one doesn’t have to be fed.

I used~
Bella Blvd Sophisticates Sprinkle & Lace Peep and Flirty Heart Throb papers
Kraft cardstock, Recollections Gems and Floral Embellishments, Ribbon, Twine
Cindy Lou for the deer border cut at a height of 7″

Having a Ball~

You know how you get the most fabulous, brilliant idea.

You’re SO excited to work on it.

But, when you finally get going everything goes WRONG.

And I’m talking horribly wrong!

Like three sheets of cardstock and two hours wasted, computer and die cutting machine failures and bits of paper all over that rival the Hanging Chad incident from a certain Presidential election.

Well, that describes my night last night.

And why this layout is NOTHING like it was meant to look. Sigh!

But, I do think this one is cute.

And bright!

My layout~

I’m taking Studio Calico’s Trendspotting class and loving all the wonderful tips and information.

Our first homework assignment was to use one of the exclusive class files on our project.

Since my first choice is laying on the floor where misbehaving items usually reside, I used the XOXO banner which perfectly reflects my heart theme.

I trimmed it and attached it to some Peppermint twine strung from heart brads.

A close up~

Our first trend is triangles, so I used several green ones as a border and to tie in the color of Hartly’s ball.

Now onto the task of dealing with all those chads and then I’m on to something fun… ombre.

I used~
Bella Blvd Sweet Celebrations Stardust, Flirty Heart Throb, Sunshine & Happiness Cute Cuts and Alpha & Bits, Sophisticates Sprinkles & Lace Punch, Spring Flings & Easter Things Alpha & Bits and various other Bella Blvd scraps
Peppermint Divine Twine, JoAnn Heart Brads, Dear Lizzy Date Stamp

A child fills a place in your heart~

that you never knew was empty.

Isn’t that the truth?

Sigh! This picture of a sweet, innocent, sleeping baby Hartly melts my heart.

She’s in feety pajamas!

Is there anything cuter than that?

My layout~

A close up~

This was inspired by Bella Blvd’s Washi Tape advertisement that had rolls of Washi in a similar fashion with the tag line of there’s no measure for love.

Of course, I can’t find it to share the link. Trust me I searched for almost an hour for it.

But, I thought this would be the perfect inspiration to get me to use my Bella Blvd goodies that I won.

For some reason I keep hesitating in using them.

I have this fear that my project won’t be worthy of my awesome winnings.

And I don’t want to waste any of it.

Crazy, I know.

Anyway, this same child is now standing at the top of the stairs yelling “Mommy” as loud as possible.

So, I guess it’s bedtime.

Did I mention that she will no longer even wear jammies? Sigh!

I used~
Bella Blvd Ciao Chip Stars & Hearts, Baby Girl Alpha & Bits, Washi tape Teal Stripe, Pink Flowers, Pickle Juice, Yellow Chevron
Queen & Co. Purple and Red Dotted Washi Tape, White Cardstock

This makes me oh so happy~

A drawer full of Bella Blvd scraps~

Isn’t it wonderful? And I don’t know how it all fit in one drawer!
