Really Wanna Kiss You~

Seems I have an anniversary coming up.

And with World Cardmaking Day this weekend I decided it would be the perfect time to make my hubby a card.

My card~

I played around with the Cricut Explpore’s new Print and Cut feature to create my layered cupid.

To do this I made cupid the correct size for my card and flattened him.

Then I duplicated him, un-flattened him to have individual pieces, so I’d have a set of parts to pop dot off the base.

Make sure you hide and do not print the black base layer, since you will not need it.

A few close-ups~

I found this Love You stamp set with the Really Wanna Kiss You stamp while in Georgia and couldn’t wait to use.

Perfect timing I think.

I used~

American Crafts Everyday 6×6 Paper Pad and White Cardstock, Impression Obsession Love You Stamps, Teresa Collins Signature Essentials Enamel Dots, Fabric Tape and EK Layered Heart Punch
Cricut Seasonal Characters Cupid Print & Cut at 4″

Blackbird Singing~

In the dead of night.

Sounds spooky doesn’t it?

Which makes it perfect for my Canadian Online Swarm Challenge #4: Non-Traditional Holiday Colour Challenge.

The rules are to make a Halloween project without using green, yellow, purple or orange.

You know all the current and trendy Halloween colors.

My card~

I do feel like I cheated a bit, since I stuck with a black and white color scheme.

But, they weren’t listed as being off-limits. He he.

A close up~

My blackbird is from the Teresa Collins Chic & Scary cartridge.

To give my card a bit more sparkle I covered him with black glitter.

You know this song was recently played at a friend’s funeral as a celebration of his finally being free from his sickness.

So, maybe it’s not so spooky after all.

At least not to me.

I used~

Sweet Dreams~

It’s my turn again at the Blog today. Yippee!!

In this month’s kit, Country Lane, there are several papers from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charms collection.

They not only feature those adorable mason jars, but also the phrase I love you to the stars and back.

And this is perfect for my nightly exchange with Hartly.

My layout~

Isn’t that adorable?

It melts my heart.

Close up~

This also gave me the opportunity to try my new Silhouette Sketch pens to draw the matching American Craft mason jars found in the Silhouette Online Store.

Sketch jars~

Aren’t they fabulous?

I am SO impressed by how well they worked and look.

I kept with the same American Crafts theme by also cutting the phrase featured in the paper.

My Title~

And you can’t have a layout about stars without actual stars can you?

So, I added the star stick pins in with my title.
