As some of you may know my nephew got a job WAY across the country almost two years ago after graduating from Virginia Tech.
Up until that point I was the black sheep of the family by choosing to live the furthest away from our hometown.
A mere 13.25 miles away that is.
So, I thought for his birthday card this year I would celebrate his new home state.
I used the map paper from the DCWV Industrial Chic Stack as my base layer and that gorgeous blue paper for my California state cut.
And since I found the gift card I had purchased back in March for his friend Ally in my pocketbook, I figured it was time to make her a card too.
I loved the flower and print paper found in the same stack and paired it with a fabric flower, cork banner and glitter ribbon.
I hoping that all those pretty elements will distract her from the fact that her gift is just a tad bit late. Oops!
I know they’ll enjoy what’s inside the cards.
And they’ll certainly know we’re thinking of them all the way here in Virginia.
