Up 2 Something~

I think most of you know by now that Hartly is a huge Toy Story fan.

She is especially fond of Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl.

She spends so much time dressing up like Jessie that it’s no wonder that I have hundreds of pictures of her in that costume.

So while I had my older Studio Calico kit out making One Sweet Cowgirl, I decided to knock out another Jessie layout.

My layout~

Up 2 Somethin

Her expression in this picture is just priceless.

It makes me wonder what she’s about to say or do.

And with this girl anything is possible.

A few close-ups~

I had fun layering all the bits and pieces from both the kit and my own October Afternoon Sasparilla collection.

I kept with the same colors, printed papers and embellishments.

I think the two layouts will look great paired together in my album.

When I get around to putting them in an album that is.

Maybe that needs to be the next Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge.

I used~

Studio Calico Kit Contents: October Afternoon Sasparilla High Noon, Pebbles Fresh Goods Mom & Pop, My Mind’s Eye Sunshine Memories Blossom and 12 Days Of Christmas All The Trimmings Paper, Crate Paper Farmhouse Buttons, Ali Thickers and Ormolu Negative Number Tags
OA Sasparilla Rub Ons, Miscellany, Journal Cards, Stamps, Little Flyers and Basic Grey Metal Studs

One Sweet Cowgirl~

Today I finally admitted to the rest of the world or at least the girls doing Stashing Thru The Snow with me my deep dark secret…

Hidden Stash

I not only have scrapbooking kits stored neatly and properly in baskets and shelves around my room, but I also have quite the collection shoved in a drawer hidden from all.

However, for today’s Stashing Thru The Snow Challenge Your Deep Dark Secret Stash I dug into that drawer and pulled out a kit to use.

My layout~

Cowgirl 2

As you can see I didn’t hold back on using the kit contents.

In fact, I also grabbed much of my own October Afternoon Sasparilla stash and used it as well.

I call this a success in using my stash.

And if I keep at it, I might just be able to open and shut that drawer with ease.

So, where do you hide your deep dark secret stash?

2013 December Daily December 13th~

Apparently yesterday was Friday the 13th. Eeek!

While it wasn’t my best day due to a migraine, there was a certain little one who sure had a fun day with Grandma Sally.

December 13th~

After taking Rylee the dog to the vet they headed off to our local hardware store that puts on an amazing toy train display each year at Christmas.

And I mean AMAZING!!

Even though she had just been the day before with Tori, she just had to show Grandma all the trains.

Especially her favorite, the Disney train.

Would you like to guess what she came home with?

Those Grandmas sure like to spoil her.

2013 December Daily December 4th~

Life with a three-year old is never, ever boring.

Today at Nursery School she must have rolled around in the sand pile.

Seriously, she was covered from head to toe.

Instead of waiting till we got home, she decided to go ahead and clean her boots off. Sigh.

When I turned to check on her this is what I saw…

December 4th~

So, I started with “Hartly, why is your boot on your ear?”

She respond, “Because, the sun is in my eyes!”

That makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?

At least to her.

Of course, it had to be today’s entry in my December Daily.

I add a bit of embellishment to the outside of the pocket page, so here’s what it looks like all together~

Now I am off to clean out the back of my car.

Hello Holly Jolly December~

It’s almost that time.

In fact, I just had three kids pressuring me to start decorating the house for Christmas.

Since this is the first Friday after Thanksgiving that I’ve had off in forever, I think claiming it was a Free Day might buy me some time.

Or at least until after nap time.

But, I have managed to decorate the cover of this year’s December Daily album.

My cover~

I will tell you that the inspiration for my cover came from this fabulous pin by Lisa who was lucky enough to have the chipboard Santa.

A few close ups~

I love how it looks like Santa is throwing up holiday cheer and magic.

My album is from the Studio Calico December Daily Kit, but most everything else is from the various October Afternoon Santa Sacks that little elves keep delivering to my house. He he.

Do you think the kids will buy that I am decorating if I tell them I’m working on my foundation pages?

Hmmm….me either.

I used~

October Afternoon Very Merry Kit Contents: Journal Cards, Flair and Paper
American Crafts Twine, Studio Calico Sequins and Bells

That is what this child does.

She approaches everything with excitement and a smile.

And this just of happens to be the title of her new favorite song.

That she knows by heart.

My layout~

The Cricut Circle Weekend Challenge: Your Choice was to use either your favorite pattern or design.

My favorite and go to design currently is to use the negative space from my title cuts.

A close up~

I love how easy it is and how great it looks when backed with patterned paper.

I thought the phrases in the Lindsay Letters Stamps went perfectly with the song lyrics and the picture of Hartly destroying a sand castle.

That’s my girl in action.

I used~
Studio Calico Antiquary Scrapbook and Card Kit Contents: Amy Tangerine Cut & Past Section 1 Paper, 6×6 Paper Pad, Flair

Delight In The Little Things~

And what’s littler than a Bitty Blossom?

It’s what I used for the Cricut Circle Weekend Challenge: Flower Power.

My tag~

I wanted a little something to include with a Swap Package, so I thought a tag would be perfect.

To make my Bitty Blossoms I used the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Dies.

A close up~

The best part is the dies come with instructions! Yippee!

Because, my Cuttlebug sure didn’t and it’s one of the reasons it doesn’t get used very often.

However, I have a feeling that will change now that I’ve gotten the hang of it.

And that brings me delight.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. He he.

I used~
Studio Calico Kit Contents: My Mind’s Eye The Sweetest Thing Bluebell “Playful” Lively Paper, Lost & Found 3 Paper, Teresa Collins Now & Then Borders

My Two Beach Bums~

This is the very reason why I have been missing lately.

The family vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC and it’s aftermath.

In fact, I think I need a vacation after this past work week.

I guess for now I will be content with looking and working with all the vacation pictures I took.

My layout~

I tried and tried to get a similar picture to one of my favorites that I took last year of all three children.

However, this year it was a bit more difficult to get all three kids to sit still long enough.

But, I did manage to get these of Holden and Hartly.

I followed the Studio Calico Weekly Sketch and had every intention of entering it in the weekly challenge, but life got in the way.

If someone could explain to me how the house gets dirty when you’re not even home, I would greatly appreciate it. Sigh!

I used~
Studio Calico Kit Contents: Studio Calico Hello Love and Day to Day Paper, Basic Grey XSC-050 Paper and Die Cuts, October Afternoon Travel Girl Tid Bits and Word Stickers, Crate Paper The Pier Slide Frames, Sequins and Studio Calico Letters
Amy Tangerine Date Roller Stamp

Let’s Take A Photo

Way over there.

Far, far away from those waves.

In fact I think the safest place for a picture is up by the pool.

My layout~

I wanted to use the Simple Stories Urban Traveler paper with it’s multiple arrows, since it reminds me of Hartly on the beach.

She goes left, right, up, down and just about any direction to avoid having contact with the water.

It’s hysterical.

While walking the beach the other evening Hartly even told us to “Watch out, the sharks will bite!”

Silly girl!

Project Life 2013~ July 2nd ~ July 5th

I know, I know.

It’s been FOREVER since I’ve worked on my Project Life.

I guess sometimes living life gets in the way of documenting life.

Oh well, I am back at it!

And that’s what counts, right?

Week of July 4th~

Our little family had quite the week.

Holden and Travis traveled to Boston to see a game at Fenway Park.

And to answer the question I know you’re dying ask…

Yes, my die-hard New York Yankee boys broke down and bought me a Boston Rob hat. Eeek!

I’m just not allowed to wear it around them.

We all met up at the beach where we enjoyed an extra long weekend of sand, sun and seafood.

We even squeezed into my parents SUV and traveled across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel for an adventure and dinner.

Let me just say Hartly loves tunnels and now expects one on every car ride.

But to be totally honest I think I enjoyed the close company even more.

Hopefully, I will be back soon with more of my Project Life from past weeks as I hope to catch up.

Just be expecting a lot of baseball and rain. Sigh!
