December Daily 2015: December 3rd – 5th~

It’s the weekend which means I can catch up, because the end of our week was crazy busy.

It all began with my Dad’s 70th birthday on Thursday.

Not only did we have a party, but also a parade.

Okay, the parade was actually the Town Of Crewe’s Christmas parade. He he.

December 3rd~

December-3rd

My Mom is the Mayor of Crewe, so she, Dad and Hartly all rode on the Town’s float.

And one little girl had the best time.

I felt it was important to include Tinsel, our Elf On The Shelf, since he was being a bit naughty.

Thankfully nothing was broken. Yet.

I mentioned earlier that Holden has been sick all week.

That lead to a big discussion about whether he should push the button on the North Pole Communicator possible contaminating it with his germs.

Needless to say we let him have his turn.

December 4th~

December-4th

Until there was opera singing involved then Hartly quickly stepped in.

A close-up~

December-4th-Close

Speaking of Tinsel Hartly has decided to trust him to take her Christmas card and Wish List to Santa on tonight’s North Pole run.

December 5th~

December-5th

She carefully placed her envelope next to Tinsel in hopes he’ll remember it.

Good luck with that!

I’m not sure I trust that little guy, but she does.

So now I am caught up.

For now.

December Daily 2015: December 2nd~

Today’s big accomplishment…..putting the final ornaments on the Christmas tree.

Plus a few that had to be glued back together.

December 2nd~

December-2nd

After several failed attempts I was able to actually capture a certain little girl by the tree.

To include both pictures I simply paper clipped one on top of the page protector.

The base layer~

December-2nd-Base

My hand written journaling is tucked away on the twinkle card.

It might even include a count of how many ornaments didn’t survive that same little girl.

Sigh.

But, the tree still looks beautiful.

December Daily 2015: December 1st~

The very moment the North Pole Communicator came out of the Christmas storage boxes on Saturday a certain little girl was glued to it.

The only problem…..Clementine the Elf tells you how busy the North Pole is and to try back December 1st.

No matter how many times you push the button.

Trust me we learned this the hard way.

So imagine the excitement  of it finally being December 1st and we can at long last talk to Santa.

December 1st~

Dec-Daily-1

We ended up talking to Clementine who was hanging out a the Reindeer Barn, so we even got to learn to speak a little reindeer.

Who knows who we’ll talk to tomorrow?

2015 December Daily~

It’s hard to believe, but it’s that time again.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas!!

Which also means it’s time to start thinking about and more importantly working on my 2015 December Daily album.

This year I decided not to purchase a December Daily kit.

Who am I kidding?

This year I didn’t purchase multiple December Daily kits.

I did purchase the new Under The Tree collection from October Afternoon and the Simple Stories 6×8 Holiday Snap album to add to my extensive Christmas stash.

And I might have picked up a few odds and ends as well, but the bulk of this year’s album will come from my stash.

The cover~

2015-Cover

I love this holiday album from Simple Stories, so I chose papers from both October Afternoon and Pretty Little Studio to embellish it.

I stamped a Tim Holtz Santa Stamp onto text paper to play off the text on the binding of the album.

A close-up~

2015-Cover-Close-Up

I added Wink Of Stella to Santa’s beard and trim, so he sparkles.

I even made my own reindeer charm using Modge Podge.

Some of you know that I don’t usually have great luck using any type of liquid adhesive, but this was simple, easy and quick.

And I managed not to glue anything to the table or to myself. Yay!

The calendar~

Calendar

Once again the fabulous Marie from Stitch In Time has provided free December calendar printables.

Isn’t this one adorable?

I added a few can’t miss dates to mine.

So will you be making a December Daily?

If so, let me know.

I’d love to see what you make.

Insta Tombow

Guess what you get when you combine DCWV Insta Fun products, Tombow Adhesives and two snap happy girls armed with a new Instax camera?

Insta fun~

Insta Fun

It came as a bit of a surprise when Ashlyn asked an Instax camera for her birthday this year.

Little did I know that she and Hartly had secretly been using mine, so I gladly got her an adorable pink one to call her own.

After opening it those two had the best time taking picture after picture.

In fact I think they went through most of my supply of film.

So, I decided they needed an Insta Fun album to put all their pictures in.

A few close-ups~

Insta Close Cover

After cutting the various layers of my insta camera  out of papers from the DCWV Gilded Stack I used the Tombow Foam Tape to give it lots of dimension.

I love the thickness of this foam tape.

I’ve been know to double up on other brands to get the lift I like, but it wasn’t necessary with this tape.

Insta Close Camera

To keep my insta camera in place I used the Tombow Adhesive Dots that come in bright colors to adhere it to my cover.

Please tell me you’re just as excited as I am about that.

I can’t tell you how many glue dots I’ve lost or thrown away by accident thinking they were trash simply because they’re clear.

Insta Close Charm

I’ve managed to get several of the pictures added to the album.

The pages~

Smile

I tried heat embossing a stamped image on to the DCWV Cork paper and I think it looks fabulous.

Just keep in mind to be gentle when applying heat to the cork.

As you can see their pictures are quite random, but I love that they’re out there taking them of things that interest them.

Friends

There will be more pages added to the album once I talk the littlest into it.

Currently she has them all displayed around the house. Oh my.

A Walk In The Woods~

Have you seen the new DCWV Mini Book kits?

Especially the Kraft & Gold Mini Book?

Swoon.

Seriously, I can’t get enough of kraft and gold together.

And that’s why I paired the Kraft & Gold Mini Book with the Foil Cardstock Stack, Foiled Vellum Stack and even Christmas & Winter Box Of Cards with foil to make my A Walk In The Woods Mini Album.

The cover~

Cover 1

I might have added a few glittered Thickers in there too for extra sparkle.

The prints in the Mini Book are perfect for my outdoorsy pictures, since it’s filled with florals, wood grain and even a bit of a nautical theme.

The kit has 19 printed pages, 20 cutouts, and 2 sticker sheets making it easy to complete especially when you have a four-year old helping you.

Hello Love And Hello February~

With the February well under way it’s time to add photos to Hartly’s Hello 2015 Mini Album.

Hello 2015 Insta Fun

And what’s a better start to February than her Happy Warthog’s Day picture?

Feb Mini

Seriously, I don’t make this stuff up.

Even two weeks later it’s still Warthog’s Day rather than Groundhog.

A few close-ups~

Feb Mini Left

I used several stamp sets to make my title.

Unfortunately I smudged it a bit, but Hartly doesn’t seem to care.

I also cut a 4×4 sheet of paper in half, scored it in the middle and used it to put my journaling inside.

Feb Mini Right

I’m hoping her Warthog didn’t see his shadow, so hopefully Spring and warmer weather is on it’s way.

You’re Pretty Much My Favorite Of All Time In The History Of Ever.~

Yep, that’s pretty much how I feel about this little girl.

All my children actually.

But, this is the littlest’s Hello 2015 album.

And this is the picture she chose for its start~

Smile Page One

Oh my.

However the next picture which I chose is just cuteness overload.

My little panda~

I continued the panda theme by using Mama Elephant Pandamonium stamps to create a panda and sequin filled pocket to compliment my other card filled pockets and flair badge.

The pages together~

The DCWV Insta Photo Fun Pocket Pages, Die Cut Cardstock Cards and Mini Stacks make completing these pages so quick, easy and fun.

Now if she’d just return with my tape runner. Sigh.

Hello 2015~

Happy New Year!

Have you seen the new DCWV Insta Photo Fun Collection at Joann’s? Swoon.

As soon as I did I ran right out and purchased it.

Insta Fun~

Hello 2015 Insta Fun

A lot of it.

Needless to say December was filled with keeping up with my December Daily album, so it all just sat.

Unless you count the times I had to chase down a certain 4 year old who was determined that at least one of the albums was hers.

So, I decided she was right.

Hartly’s Hello 2015 album~

Hello 2015 Cover

Each month she and I will pick out several pictures to add to her little album.

The Insta Fun pocket pages are perfect for Instagram sized pictures like 4×4, 3×3 and 2×3 pictures.

You know how that little girl loves a selfie.

And let me tell you she is super excited about this project.

The side~

She even chose the adorable little bear for the cover.

December Daily 2014: December 26th & The Finishing Touches~

Our final day of celebrating Christmas this year fell on the day after Christmas with us spending the morning with hubby’s family.

I love how all of the cousins are looking at the camera with the exception of the littlest.

That girl!

December 26th~

December Daily Dec 26 Left

Earlier in the week I had found this little iron on gem from Sara at Confetti Sunshine and knew it had to be included in my album.

My bag of coal~

December Daily Coal Bag

Not to mention I made several to give away. He he.

I simply used supplies I already had at home including left over Studio Calico fabric bags and Avery Dark Fabric Iron On paper.

I think they’d look better using the regular Iron On paper, but they’re still cute.

With our Christmas celebrations over and my mini album turning out to be not so mini I thought it was the perfect time to end this year’s album.

Especially with my desk looking like this~

December Daily Cover Mess

For my cover I used a Christmas image I believe was originally from a Jessica Sprague email from last year.

My cover~

December Daily Cover

I added a bow from one of our Christmas packages and a few sparkly chipboard hearts.

And with that I have packed up all the Christmas scrapbooking supplies for now and can actually see the top of my desk again.

What kind of mess should I make now? He he.

I used~

October Afternoon December Story Kit, Ali Edwards December Daily Kit, Pretty Little Studio For You Image, Heidi Swapp Christmas Paper Pad, Various October Afternoon Christmas Collections, Webster’s Pages, Simple Stories Snap Album & Page Protectors, Jingle Thickers, Papertrey Ink Twine, Jingle Bells, Wink Of Stella, Acetate, Enamel Dots, Sprinkles from the Papertrey Ink Make It Now Market Kit

I’ve tried to list most of my supplies, but if you have any questions please ask.
