I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas holiday.
We did as it was filled with three straight days of food, family and time together.
And there might have been a present or two.
Now I’m back with the finishing touches on this year’s December Daily.
This year I am choosing to end my December Daily on Christmas Day rather than continuing through the end of the month.
So, I’m considering this Mini Album done. Yippee!!

The past few days have been a whirlwind.
There’s nothing like going back into the recovery room to see your hubby after his fourth eye surgery to find him wearing a pirate eye patch.
I think that’s a sign that he knows the staff all too well.
I also had to document our very unlike winter weather.
Friday I had the most pleasant surprise from a friend.
December 20th & 21st~
Isn’t he adorable?
Her card was so cute I had to include it as well.
I added it to a single 4×6 page protector left over from last year’s December Daily.
And on the other side~
Did you notice that Hartly got her wish and took the whole family to see the trains?
And it was amazing!
She’s planning on taking her Grandfather next.
Saturday was spent doing a little browsing.
Seems my boys want a play toy.
Wonder if they’ve been good enough for Santa to bring one?
I guess we’ll see.
Sorry for the quality of pictures, but it’s pouring again today.
If only it wasn’t almost 80 degrees, we just might be having a White Christmas.

This time of year S is for shopping, sleigh, stocking, snow, star and Santa.
And for today it really is for Snow.
Not the wet kind falling from the sky, but the kind you follow a recipe to make and play with.
When Tori first mentioned that she and Hartly were going to make Snow, I was a bit skeptical.
Okay, I was terrified.
Especially when I heard a main ingredient was glitter. Yikes!
Glitter and a three-year old don’t usually mix.
But, this snow was pretty cool.
In fact, we spent about an hour playing around with it.
We even built a snowman.

Busy, busy days here as we get closer to the BIG day.
Monday was my Mom’s birthday. Yippee!!
Not only did we go out to dinner, but Hartly and I made her a cake.
We made an old family favorite, Cinnamon Cake.
Don’t tell, but the kids all had a piece for breakfast. Yum.
I decided to jump on the trendy deer bandwagon and made a filler page for my album using the wood grain paper.
My deer page~
On the opposite side was a wonderful star sequin print that just begged to be paired with actual stars.
My star shaker page~
To contain all those stars I used a strip of 1/4″ Scor-tape.
And guess who made her third trip to Bevell’s to see the trains?
Hmmmm….I wonder how many times she can talk someone into taking her?
But, I guess that’s what the Christmas Season is all about.
Enjoying the little things that make Christmas so magical.
Like toy train displays.
The pages together~

Saturday was Date Night! Yippee!!
We did a bit of shopping, eating and a lot of dodging cold, cold raindrops.
And would it shock you to know that I went into two craft stores and walked out of both without a single purchase?
Crazy I know.
Sunday was spent like most heading to Sunday School and Church.
But, this Sunday little Miss Hartly decided to sit in the pew in front of us with her cousins.
It was so cute seeing them all lined up that I had to snap a quick picture.
I know, I know. Shame on me.
I just wish I had been able to include all five of them in the picture.
Especially since the preacher gave them all Christmas Rubik cubes during the Children’s Sermon.
You’d be surprised at the noise five Rubik Cubes can make. Oh my.

Apparently yesterday was Friday the 13th. Eeek!
While it wasn’t my best day due to a migraine, there was a certain little one who sure had a fun day with Grandma Sally.
After taking Rylee the dog to the vet they headed off to our local hardware store that puts on an amazing toy train display each year at Christmas.
And I mean AMAZING!!
Even though she had just been the day before with Tori, she just had to show Grandma all the trains.
Especially her favorite, the Disney train.
Would you like to guess what she came home with?
Those Grandmas sure like to spoil her.

It’s hard to believe, but today was Hartly’s last day of Nursery School for the year.
Which also meant it was Christmas Party Day. Woo Hoo!
All of the children had to dress up, so Hartly picked out her gold, sparkly dress.
And of course, her outfit wouldn’t be complete without her bright pink Uggs.
I’m noticing more and more she’s picking up my love of all things that sparkle and shine.
That’s my girl!
