December Daily 2015: December 15th~

Someone got a bit excited today when the new Simon Says Stamp Holly Jolly Christmas Kit arrived.

Okay…two of us got really excited.

But, only one of us decided she just had to make a color video using the cute little nutcracker stamp.

December 15th~

After convincing Holden and I to set everything up for her she got right to work.

It was so cute listening to her trying to be the next Kristina Werner or Nichol Magourik.

She even provided her own Christmas music by using her Singing Elf microphone.

She’s currently trying to talk me into creating a YouTube channel for her…..we’ll see about that.

One thing is certain that this child dreams BIG!!

If you’d like to see her video~

I know the Grandmas will get a kick out of it. He he.

The Glasses Don’t Fool Me~

You may know by now that I’m the Queen of Gift Cards when it comes to gift giving.

Currently I like stamping or decorating in some way the Recollections kraft bags before sliding my gift card in.

However I knew I wanted to do something a little different for my super hero loving cousin.

My gift bag~

I started with stamping and coloring on Desert Storm Neenah paper the average boy next door found in the Sweet Stamp Shop Super Boy set.

It was interesting coloring on this paper for the first time.

I didn’t quite get the shading I wanted, but it still looks cute.

I think I will be practicing a bit more with it in the future

Lifting the flap~

Once you lift the flap and his disguise of glasses is removed, my super hero is revealed.

Isn’t it always the quiet ones with glasses that you have to watch out for?

Or is that just how it is in my house. He he.

I colored this as part of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

challenge_graphic-650-october2

Sometimes all you need to be happy is a hug from a friend.

My card~

Bunnies

I used the adorable bunnies from the Mama Elephant Honey Bunny stamp set to create a simple card to send a friend who hasn’t been feeling well.

You’re A Real Princess~

Have you been coloring during October?

challenge_graphic-650-october2

I’m joining in when I can, but it’s not as much as I would like.

I’ve even spent some evenings coloring, but I haven’t found the time to post my pictures.

There’s just not enough time in the day.

And it’s hard to get a good picture after dark. Sigh.

But, here’s one of my evening’s work~

Princess

Even on a completed card!!

How about that?

I Gave A Letter To The Postman~

Actually, I gave several to him.

I joined in a Pocket Letter Swap with several of the ladies from our Cricut Circle Good Morning Facebook Group.

You don’t know what a Pocket Letter is?

Well, neither did I until I visited this Janette Lane’s blog for a perfect description and joined this fabulous Pocket Letter Inspiration and Inspiration Facebook group.

After figuring it all out I jumped right in.

My first glitzy pocket letter~

My Minds

My first partner listed My Mind’s Eye as one of her favorite companies, so I added plenty of gold and sparkle to match her personality to the Sky’s The Limit Collection.

I included a personal letter and a 5 Things About Me list.

Each of my other partners took part in the 30 Day Color Challenge, so I came up with a different pocket letter for them.

My coloring inspired pocket letter~

Little Kids

I paired October Afternoon’s Sidewalk collection with the adorable Mama Elephant In My Heart stamps to create a cute little pocket letter full of love and playfulness.

I even included a set of stamped and die cut children for each of them to color and use on a project of their own.

All of them together~

Little Kids Together

This was a great way to practice my coloring. He he.

Next up….Halloween Pocket Letters, so I’m trying to decide if I should go cutesy or creepy.

Birthday Bear Wishes For You~

Have you missed me?

I will admit that life has gotten a bit out of control with us trying to enjoy every last moment of the Summer.

Need I mention school started yesterday?

So I thought I’d pop in here with my card for Kathy from The Daily Marker Pop Up Challenge: It’s All About Lines.

My card~

Bear Birthday Wishes Line Challenge

I used Washi tape to form my lines of varying sizes and simply blended two colors of Distress Ink into the white spaces.

Once I removed the Washi tape I had a perfectly striped or better yet lined background.

Keep an eye out for more Pop Up Challenges from Kathy at The Daily Marker.

I know I’ll be joining in!

I used~

My Favorite Things Birdie Brown Birthday Bear Stamps & Dies, Birthday Wishes & Ballons Stamps, Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Signo White and Black Gel Pen, Copics

I Knew When I Met You~

That an adventure was going to happen.

I love that sentiment.

Almost as much as I love the Petunia Gets A Piggy Back image that accompanies it.

My card~

Bee Friends

You just have to smile looking at those two together.

A close-up~
