This little guy just makes me smile.
Meet Milton from Stampingbella.
I colored him for Day 19 of the 30 Day Color Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker.
For whatever reason I thought he’d be perfect for my Father’s Day card for my Dad.
Especially when paired with my sentiment.
At least I think so.
My sister, Amy, might not agree.
I saw the phrase somewhere online Friday.
I think it might have even been a stamp, but I can’t remember where I saw it or even find it now.
So, I simply used Photoshop and my printer to create my version of it.
Underneath Milton is a printed paper from Simple Stories I Am collection which lists many of the qualities that I think my Dad instilled in me.
That makes my card a little sweet and a lot sassy.
Just like me.

I can hardly believe that our good friend’s daughter has graduated from High School.
Where has the time gone?
I can still remember the day she was born.
Aww…I’m getting all teary eyed just thinking about it.
I used a Wryn Graduate digital stamp from Tiddly Inks that I colored to match Morgan’s actual gown and sash.
Luckily I had just watched a Sandy Allnock video on coloring white images.
Not too bad I think.
Except for where I thought her hair was the stash and colored it blue.
Anyway blue hair or not I know that this graduate is going great places.
Just to note that it’s Day 20 of the 30 Day Color Challenge.
Amazingly enough I’m keeping up.

Remember when I mentioned that all I have been making lately are birthday cards?
Can you stand one more?
And then I’ll move on to something else.
Grandpa Buzzy recently turned 70!! Woot woot.
And Hartly was quite determined that we would be making him an elephant card.
Nothing says Happy 70th like an elephant right?
I paired my birthday wishing elephants with the speech bubble die from My Favorite Things.
After completing my card Hartly was in charge of signing it for everyone.
Any guesses on how many names actually went on the card?

Yeah….what they said.
I love these Three Amigos from Mama Elephant.
With their little signs you can make a card for any occasion.
Since May is full of birthdays in our family, it seems that’s all I’ve been making lately.
I paired my little guys with paper from Basic Grey’s Hipster collection.
Which I thought was totally appropriate, because those little guys seem not only kind of hip but also a bit sassy. He he.

So, let’s play!
Lately I have been playing along with several of the Some Odd Girl Community Crop Challenges.
My project is a bit of a stretch for the Summer Fun Challenge: To show some summer love by doing a summer theme, using a summer stamp or using summer colors!
However I figure school is out, summer vacation is starting and it’s time to play.
And that is exactly what my little kitty is doing.
While these aren’t the first colors I think of when I think of Summer, they are from Fancy Pants Down By the Shore Collection.
And who am I to argue?

Okay, I’ve lost count.
There are just too many fish on my Some Odd Girl Community Crop H2O Challenge: Use water color pencils, critters that live on/in the water, rain drops, or anything that makes you think H2o on your project.
Luckily this adorable little guy was on one of the three Some Odd Girl stamp set that I own.
So, I stamped him repeatedly and got busy coloring him to create my little H2O scene.
I used small flat sequins from Papertrey Ink to mimic bubbles and I gave each fish a bit of sparkle with a Wink Of Stella pen.
There’s still a bit of time left to join in the fun and I’m hoping to get one more project done.
Let’s just hope we don’t have a repeat of last night where a massive amount of H2O falling from the sky knocked our power out. Yikes!

This week I decided to join in the Some Odd Girl Facebook Community Crop.
Now I only own 3 Some Odd Girl stamp sets.
But, I adore them.
Luckily, one of the first challenges was a Critter Challenge: Use a Some Odd Girl Critter on any type of project.
Have I mentioned all 3 stamp sets are of critters?
I used the hot dog from the Preppy Pups Stamp Set to make a birthday card for my nephew.
I paired my pup with the Basic Grey Hipster collection.
A perfect match, right?
And I have decided to join in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge by Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker.com.
Go here to get more information because you know you want to join in too.

Like a brand new pack of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. He he.
Oh, and babies.
I used the new pens to color a Mama Elephant Up & Away bunny to accompany a baby gift we’re giving.
I love how easy the pens were to blend and how bright and bold the color remains.
Wanting to keep the focus on my bunny I placed him on a sheet of DCWV White Embossed paper backed with a coordinating polka dot paper from the DIY Project Stack Flowers.
And now I think I have a few more pens to go play with.

Here’s the thing about watching coloring videos and making cards with your five year old, they want it to look EXACTLY like the card in the video.
There are NO exceptions.
Unless you can secretly work on part of it while they’re sleeping.
So, that is why my Thank You card for Hartly’s Nursery School teacher looks almost 100% like Nichol Magouirk’s card.
We made this to give to her Nursery School teacher, so it had to be just right.
Which to Hartly meant just like Nichol’s.
However after seeing the new Mama Elephant Playful Pups stamps in action, she decided she needed to make her own card to give Mrs. Shorter.
I think her card turned out even better mine.

I don’t know about you, but I had FUN!!
With the help and inspiration of some incredibly talented ladies from the Cricut Circle Message Board I completed FIVE layouts, SIX cards and ONE framed project~
I call that a good time.
And now for the winner of my Crafting With Negative Nelly: Use the Negative Portion of Your Cut Challenge.
Your layout is fantabulous! I posted in your Crafting with Negative Nelly over on the messageboard. Not good with links, but I’ll try. (; http://us.cricut.com/forum/cricut-community_postst182676_NSD-2015-Challenge–Crafting-With-Negative-Nelly.aspx
And thanks for playing along.
Email me with your information including your email and I’ll get your prize on the way to you.
