While I had my DCWV Sweater Weather stack out, I decide to make a tag for the upcoming holiday.
My tag~
It would be perfect to accompany a gift bottle of wine or any other hostess gift.
A close-up~
Earlier I had played around with the DCWV Burlap, stencils and Whipped Spackle for another project, so I thought the heart shape would be perfect for this tag.
I even got a little creative and added glitter to the spackle for a bit of extra shine.
It’s hard to see in the pictures since we’re on Day 2 of clouds and rain here in Virginia, but it’s there and shines.
In case you’ve never worked with stencils or spackle I’ve included my process~
A few helpful tidbits~
Use tape to hold your paper and stencil in place.
Use less spackle than you think you need too.
Take your time.
And most importantly have fun getting a little messy!
Let me know if you have any other helpful tips to share.
I used~
DCWV Sweater Weather Stack, Sweater Weather 6×6 Stack, Fall & Halloween Corrugate Stack, Burlap Stack, DCWV 12 x 12 Template
Ranger Kraft Tag, Faber Castle Whipped Spackle, Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter, Papertrey Ink Twine, Seam Binding Ribbon, Buttons
Love your tag! Thanks for the video and hints, too.
Looks like fun (and messy). It came out really nice. Love the tag. Thanks for sharing the process and tips.
