We’re celebrating our great country with all things patriotic over on the DCWV blog this week.
I chose to do layout dedicated to my Grandfather who served in the Army during WWII.
My layout~
My picture has my Papa Wilkerson looking awfully dapper in his military uniform along with my Mema and her father around the time they were married.
If there was one lesson that my grandparents taught our family it was to live a life built on faith, family and service to others.
My grandfather’s service might have started in the army; however, it spanned more years and touched even more people through serving our community and church.
A close-up~
I used various prints from the DCWV Main Street Stack which I felt suited my picture and it’s feel.
I added a few Tim Holtz embellishments along with an airplane charm to represent our family business that my Grandparents started as well.
I know these loved ones will be on my mind as we celebrate this 4th of July.
I used~
DCWV Main Street Stack
Fancy Thickers, OA Chalk & Slate Mini Market, Spare Parts Travel Charms, Tim Holtz Playing Cards, Pin and Brads
Exceptional – I love this tribute to your Papa W! The photo and the layout are awesome – but the best part is the story and the legacy of faith, family, and service that he helped to establish. Happy Fourth!
Beautiful tribute! Love the LO.
I love this Sara, I have been thinking a lot about Coo as well. Mimi
