When I saw the October Afternoon Square Sketch I knew I had to participate.
I love this sketch.
And I love, love, love Amy Heller’s layout to the point I wanted to copy every last little bit.
But, I managed to put my own little spin on the sketch.
My layout~
I would have loved to add a bit of machine stitching, but my sewing machine and I had a bit of an argument.
Currently, we are NOT getting along.
A close up~
So, I only added a tiny bit of hand-stitching to the buttons.
While I was busy working on this layout Hartly was busy using my scraps, punches and stealing buttons.
Here’s her project~
Personally, I like hers better. He he.
I used~
October Afternoon Woodland Park Collection including Magpie Field, Willow Path, Cat Tail Pond, Minnow Creek and Olde Mill Bridge Papers, Chip ‘n Stick, Designer Brads, Tidbits, Journal Cards, Miscellany Pack, Buttons and Phrase & Date Stamps
Creative Memories Square Punch
SO pretty I love it! And I dont get along with my sewing machine either! LOL
Such beautiful colors together! Love this sketch too and your take on it!
Love all the little details of your layout! I like how Hartly recycles your scraps!
Haha! Great minds think alike! I printed that sketch out and having it sitting on my desk until I can find the perfect picture to put on it. Love your spin on the sketch and Hartly’s project is pretty fabulous too!
It’s gorgeous – love the color palette and how all of the elements work together!!!
Fabulous! I love the artwork! Oh and I dig your layout too!
I will pass that along to Hartly!!! 🙂
