Be Brave. Be Strong.

Be you.

This is the card hubby and I are giving Hartly as she is starting Nursery School tomorrow.

It’s also my entry for the Circle Weekend Challenge: Back To School.

Or in this case the First Day of School.

My card~

Be-Brave

I love the adorable, brave lion found on the new Cricut Home Dรฉcor Vinyl Wall Art cartridge.

I placed him on top of DCWV’s The Handmade Stack fiber paper to make it look like he had fur.

I then hand trimmed a second cut and only secured the edges to make his mane and tail fluff out.

A close up~

Now if I’m being totally honest I think this card is more for me than her.

I’m the one whose going to need to be brave when dropping her off.

Wish me luck!

I used~

Handmade Sky's the Limit

DCWV The Basic Stack, The Handmade Stack and The Sky’s The Limit Stack
Amy Tangerine Ribbon, October Afternoon Button, My Mind’s Eye Enamel Dots
Cricut Home Dรฉcor Vinyl Wall Art for the lion cut at 4.5″

  1. You can do it Sara! She might get a little upset at first but she will realize how much fun it will be. Just don’t tell her it sucks the older you get! LOL

  2. Adorable card Sara. I’m sure she’ll love it. I also suspect she will forget all about you within an hour of being dropped off and you will need to be the one who is strong and brave. Too bad they have to grow up, huh? LOL

  3. Awww. What a great idea. Wll she keep the card with her in school? I’m sure that’ll help her if she misses her family.
Love the dimension you gave the lion ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. yes, I struggled with that LO for a while but decided not to give up and worked through the frustration. I love it too ๐Ÿ™‚
