Sending Love and Birthday Wishes to You~

As some of you may know my nephew got a job WAY across the country almost two years ago after graduating from Virginia Tech.

Up until that point I was the black sheep of the family by choosing to live the furthest away from our hometown.

A mere 13.25 miles away that is.

So, I thought for his birthday card this year I would celebrate his new home state.

Ryan’s card~

California-Card-1

I used the map paper from the DCWV Industrial Chic Stack as my base layer and that gorgeous blue paper for my California state cut.

And since I found the gift card I had purchased back in March for his friend Ally in my pocketbook, I figured it was time to make her a card too.

Ally’s card~

California-Card-2

I loved the flower and print paper found in the same stack and paired it with a fabric flower, cork banner and glitter ribbon.

I hoping that all those pretty elements will distract her from the fact that her gift is just a tad bit late. Oops!

I know they’ll enjoy what’s inside the cards.

And they’ll certainly know we’re thinking of them all the way here in Virginia.

I used~
DCWV Industrial Chic Stack and The Adhesive Cork Stack
Kraft paper, American Craft Glitter Strips, Seam Binding Ribbon, Fabric Flower, Wood Veneer Heart, American Craft Twine, Fiskars Jester Punch

50 States for the California cut at 4.5″ high
