Welcome to Day 2 of our Circleville NSD Online Event and to my first challenge, Go Big or Go Home!
The challenge is to use an oversized photo or title or both on your project.
How easy is that?!
And with your Cricut or any other die cutting machine making a BIG title is super easy.
For my layout I chose to use both.
And to be totally honest my 8.5 x 11 picture turned out to be a bit larger than I thought. Yikes!
You’d think the measurements would mean something to me, but they didn’t.
Especially since I like to double mat my layouts.
Anyway, that’s why CCR really helped with making my title the perfect size.
CCR~
Once I had my title ready to go I cut it using my new Cricut Mini.
I am seriously loving this machine.
Mini in action~
A close up of my title~
As you can see I used the negative space and added buttons and goosebumps to embellish it.
My layout~
Now some of you might have an idea of how I got this title, but I assure you that it comes from Hartly’s new favorite song by Olly Mars.
It’s not my fault that it’s also an accurate description.
Now for you card only makers I used the same process to make a BIG titled card.
My card~
See how easy that is!
Now I want you to get busy and make your own Go BIG project.
And maybe even win a prize!! Yippee!!
Post your project on the Cricut Circle Message Board under the Go Big or Go Home Challenge thread for a chance to win there. And then come back here and leave me a link to your project in the comments for a chance to win here.
If you are not a Circle Member you can still participate by leaving me a comment with a link to your blog post or to any gallery of your choosing such as Two Peas, Studio Calico, Cricut General Message Board, etc. Leave me a link and I’ll find you. For every project made you get TWO entries.
Don’t have time to make something? Awww…leave a comment letting me know what you would make and I’ll enter you in the drawing as well.
You have until Sunday May 12th at 8:00 pm to enter to win a $20.00 gift card to Hobby Lobby. One gift card will be given away on the Cricut Circle Message Board Go Big or Go Home Challenge Thread and One will be given away here on my blog.
