I am in love.
With this boy who is growing and changing and maturing right in front of my eyes.
With DCWV’s The Whimsical World Stack and it’s bright, vibrant colors and patterns.
And especially with Shimelle for telling me I don’t have to cover up all those patterns I love.
So, I followed her Sketch 7 to make this layout showing off everything.
My layout~
I started by picking out my favorite patterns from the stack.
As a bonus the circles reminded me of the spiral slide he’s in.
And I won’t comment on the spikey ones possibly looking like the static in his hair. He he.
Since the colors went so well together I added bits and pieces from the October Afternoon Woodland Park collection.
For my journaling I printed directly onto the patterned paper.
It looks great, but does require an extra minute or two or heat gun to dry.
With that I finished a layout that I love and Holden will too.
At least until he notices his hair. Eek!
I used~

Awesome!!! Did Shimelle teach you this in our December Daily stuff or are you doing another project with her??
She has been posting free sketches on her blog lately. They are fantastic! Make sure you check it out http://www.shimelle.com
Such a fun layout! I love all the patterned paper!
Oh I love this layout! Your son is a handsome young man!
All the projects are wonderful. I am so loving the colors
What a wonderful layout. I think the static in his hair is something he will laugh about when he looks back at this photo.
