So My Studio Calico Trendspotting class assignment was on Sunbursts.
I love sunbursts!
I love them on cards, layouts and just about anything you can put them on.
However, this one has been a labor of love.
Each and every step presented itself with some type of issue. Sigh!
But, today Laura at Bella Blvd has a quick and easy tutorial to show you how to make your own fabulous sunburst.
I just wish I had seen this three days ago.
My layout~
I used CCR to elongate a basic triangle shape from George to make several of my ray shapes.
I then hand cut the rest to fill in my shape.
A close up~
I added a little rough stitching and several sticker embellishments.
In the end I love the total effect of the sunburst shape and bright colors reminding me of this Summer afternoon spent on my mother’s porch swing.
Although next time I do believe I will follow Laura’s instructions.
I used~
Bella Blvd Sunshine & Happiness Popcicle Kisses paper, Journaling Stickers and Miniatures, Baby Boy On the Go paper and various other Bella Blvd paper scraps, White Cardstock
CCR and George and Basic Shapes
Really cute! Thanks for the tutorial link for the sunbursts!
super cute!
