I’m a tad bit behind in my Studio Calico Trendspotting class, but I’m catching up today.
Or at least attempting to.
This lesson was on Woodgrain.
And guess who recently got the Papertrey Ink Farm & Barn Background stamps?
So, it was time to break out the woodgrain stamp and get to work.
My card~
I used the stamp to create a woodgrain fence background for my card.
I knew I wanted to use the “Herd it’s your Birthday!” stamp, so I pulled various paper from the October Afternoon Sasparilla 8×8 paper pad.
Unfortunately, the paper pack did not include a cow.
So, I made my own using the Cricut My World cartridge.
Now all my card needs is the gift…an Outback gift certificate.
Yum!
And appropriate.
Don’t you think?
I used~
October Afternoon Sasparilla paper, kraft paper
Papertrey Ink Farm & Barn Background and On the Farm stamps, twin
My World for the cow cut at 2.17″
Now that is durn cute! Love it all – and the Outback Gift Certificate – perfection! Wonderful! Love the layers and all of the details and colors!
Why golly I think we got a root tootin great card here! Yeehaw!
YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a right purty card you made here, Miss Sara! I think it’s a perfect way to present an Outback Steakhouse gift card too! I just bought the only sheet of that “comic book” paper that one of the LSS had on our trip…I hadn’t seen it before : O !!!
