is the sand between my toes.

Sigh! What I would give to be back on the beach right now.

I took this picture on our first day of vacation this year at Myrtle Beach, SC.

It was so calm and peaceful.

Or at least it was for about 30 seconds before we realized Hartly was afraid of the waves and would not leave the safety of the umbrella to fill her water buckets.

And since she kept dumping them as soon as we set them down…

You can guess how the rest went.

Anyway, this picture was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the Summer Challenge over on October Afternoon’s blog this week.

They have a Pintrest board full of wonderful Summery things that inspired me to creat this layout.

My layout~

I knew I wanted the main focus to be my picture and the title, so I decided to use the Sunday Sketch over at Studio Calico featuring Nicole Samuels’ sketch. Her sketch can be found here.

I used CCR and Cricut Craftroom Basics to size my title to the just right size to compliment my rather large photo.

A close up~

I used all October Afternoon 9 to 5 products for this layout, which I find very ironic.

Oe maybe not, since I am at work daydreaming of being back in that chair!

I used~
October Afternoon 9 to 5 Italics, Meeting Minutes and Dictation paper, Little Flyers, Brads, Tin Pins, Tidbits and Flower Sack

Some of these items were included in my Studio Calico Elmwood Park and Twisty Slide kits.
The rest were in my ever expanding October Afternoon Collection.

Because really, can you have too much October Afternoon?

  1. WOW!! You had an awesome pic to work with & you did a great job making the perfect layout with it! The only thing that could make it any better would be if we were IN those chairs right now!
