Woo Hoo! With this one layout I accomplished several goals.
First~ It’s of ONLY Ashlyn.
Second~ It’s my Sketch 12, the FINAL one, for my Studio Calico Stketchbook 4 class. Yippee!
Third~ It meets all the criteria for the Cricut Circle Blog NSD Recipe Challenge.
It has to have 3 Cricut Image cuts, Three Patterned Papers, A Bird, Butterfly or Bug, Hand or Machine Stitching and The Color Yellow. Boy, that’s a lot! But, I got it all in there.
And as an added bonus I used CCR successfully again! Yippee!
Ashlyn has been by my side for every baseball and softball game in just about every weather condition, so I thought it would be fun to celebrate that. The American Craft Amy Tangerine line was perfect for this layout with it’s bright colors.
To match the sunshine tag I used CCR to cut the letters in the word “clouds” from A Child’s Year at .5″. To be honest with you I had no hopes of this actually working since the paper was heavy, thick cardstock and the images so small. So, imagine my surprise when it cut perfectly on only one pass. Is there anything better than a fresh, sticky mat?
I used Something to Celebrate to cut the heart at 1.55″. I chose one similiar to the pre-stitched heart on what I call the Buddy paper, but Amy calles it Come Together.
And I LOVE these Lovely Thickers that are molded foam rubber. They feel so cool.
I cut the baseball phrase at a width of 3″.
To meet the final requirement of the challenge I added a cut little ladybug cut which is perfect for two reasons. First it’s her Daddy’s nickname for her, and it’s covering the incorrect dates that Prince Edward has on their tickets. I love it when a plan comes together!
