Here Comes Big Trouble!

You know I think I take WAY too many pictures! But, that’s what happens when you’re enrolled in a photography class, right?

I’ve also noticed I’m doing a lot of layouts featuring the littlest. Hmmm…wonder if the big kids have noticed?

This is my layout for Sketch 7 for Studio Calico’s Sketchbook 4 class.

The main feature of this sketch was the large circle. I thought this would be the perfect base for my own Lil Sis playing off Hartly’s adorable shirt. It’s one of my favorites! I just love all those buttons and tried to recreate it using Hello Kitty Font and my button stash.

A close up~

I drew my stitches to give a little more definition to the letters.

I continued the circle theme by using CTMH Vintage Type stamps for part of my title and by creating a button border underneath my pictures.

The papers and embellishments in the Studio Calico Handmade kit matched the colors of Harty’s clothes so well and made this layout so easy to assemble. Got to love that! I added the October Afternoon Sasparilla Denim Paper to match her jeans.

I have to add that we were very excited about these jeans. This is the first pair little Miss Hartly could squeeze into. It seems shopping for toddler jeans is as frustrating and difficult as it is for grown women!

I used~
Handmade kit contents: Bazzill Two Scoops Raspberry Parfait paper, Green and Grey Cardstock, Amy Tangerine Goodness Thickers, Amy Tangerine Mini Aphas Olive
CTMH Alphabets Vintage Type
October Afternoon Sasparilla Denim Paper
MME Lost & Found buttons
Hello Kitty Font
White cardstock, Misc buttons from my extensive button collection

  1. Yep, she’s Trouble alright!!! The image I have of her trying to squeeze into those jeans is hilarious!!! It made me remember buying clothes for DS when he was little…for years, the pant legs were always waaayyyyyy too long for the size that he needed. Now, he’s 6’3″ LOL!!!

  2. This is exceptionally adorable – not only for the jean shopping story – but also how you integrated the jeans and the shirt into your layout. I am totally and completely blown away by this and all of the great work you have been doing. SUPER
