A certain person I know is having a birthday soon, so I wanted to make her a card as fabulous as she is. BUT, this is what I ended up with! Sigh!
It seems that I always have one thing in mind, yet I end up with something totally different.
Oh well, I’m sticking with the belief that it’s the thought that counts. Right?
In the latest Scarlet Lime kit there was the most bright and vibrant Pink Paislee She Art papers by Christy Tomlinson. The colors and attitude of the papers remind me of my friend, so I thought they would be perfect for this card. As a bonus, my friend just started creating art projects in Christy’s She Art style.
Here is my card~
I went by a sketch found at October Afternoon’s blog. It’s pretty simple and straight forward, but I thought that would work well with the boldness of the papers.
I knew this card HAD to have some bling, so I added a big, shiny gem to my ribbon.
I only used my Cuttlebug butterfly die cuts, so NO electricity was used in this project! Gasp! I know, it’s hard for ME to believe. I even hand stitched the butterfly images.
I stamped my sentiment of Celebrate in hopes she has the most wonderful birthday and that my little card will bring her a smile!
