That’s pirate for Happy Birthday!
I made this card last June just to play with the then brand new Cricut Imagine Buccaneer cartridge. I just love the images on this cart. They are so bright and bold and look great layered or not.
So, now this card is on it’s way to a special friend to celebrate his day!
I started by printing one side of a 12×12 sheet of paper with the skull and crossbones pattern and the other with the weathered paper pattern. I then used the cut only feature to cut the invitation and envelope. This meant I could decorate both with images of my choice.
I started with this tough looking seagull. But isn’t he cute?
I then added my pirate. He’s on an action wobble, so he wobbles when you open the card. So cute! I think I could watch him for hours. Can you tell it doesn’t take much to entertain me?
I pop dotted my pirate’s captain hat and the wing on my seagull. For the parrot guarding the envelope I used all of his many layers, but left them all flat.
I added velco to the parrot’s head to keep my enevelope closed. I wish I could tell you the exact size I cut this, but it been way too long. I do know that it’s the perfect size to hold a Target giftcard.
I think it’s about time to get this cartridge out again and play with it!
Good job, Matey!!!
