My Happy Little Moments book is coming together with three more pages done! Woo Hoo! I am loving how simple it is, but also how fun too. I think part of it is the freedom to just stick whatever pictures I want and love in it. There’s NO worrying about time lines or too many pictures taken on the same day. Hmmm…is it strange that I worry about these things?
Pages 34-49~
It’s not very often I get pictures of me, so I absolutely LOVE this picture of Hartly and me.
And how could I not use this picture of Hartly as a peek-a-boo cut out? I really wanted to emphasize the round cut out, so I embellished with various circles and buttons.
I used my Creative Memories Circle cutting system to make the cut out. It worked okay considering it was cutting through three pages; however, I am rethinking my ban on punches. They would have been so much easier and provided a cleaner cut!
I used~
October Afternoon 5 & Dime Paper, Thrift Shop Paper and Word Stickers, Rocket Age Paper and Buttons, Fly a Kite Wrod Stickers, Detours Journal Label and Modern Homemaker Buttons
To adhere the fabric I used Tacky Tape on vellum. Love that stuff!!
A close up~
Look at that face!! It spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!
I love how well the Rub On of the little girl looks on the book pages.
I used~
October Afternoon Thrift Shop Paper, Sidewalks Wrap Pack, Little Flyers and Flower Sack, Fly a Kite Rub Ons, Vellum and Recollection Pearls
I let my embellishments tell my thoughts on these pages.
I used~
Rocket Age Paper, Miscellany and buttons, Modern Homemaker Paper, OA Letter Stickers, Mister Huey’s Dewey, Marth Stewart Iridescent Star Glitter
I also used my Silhouette to cut the zig zags. I then used the negative as a photo mat for my picture.
So, I’m about halfway through my book and there is NO way it’s closing! And that makes me happy.
Awesome!!! I LOVE how this is turning out…where’d you get this idea from?? You know, except for the background print on the book’s pages, this is an awful lot like a Smash book! Isn’t it funny, & ridiculous!, that we can be so much more relaxed on these projects…why can’t we just throw in what we want on our “reg” scrapbooks??? We’re a mess! LOL!!!
You are really coming along one this project! Great little layouts and I love the details of the book (like the little girl with her added pennant). Just too darn cute (pages and kids)!!!
