Really, I am. I admit it!
This weekend I left the hubby and kids behind to go to the Scrapdoodles February Retreat in Glenn Allen, VA. Well, the hubby met and stayed with me Saturday, so I really didn’t leave him behind. And the kids decided to spend the night with their grandparents rather than hang out in a hotel room, so actually they ditched me!
Anyway, it seems I am a retreat wimp! There was NO staying up until the wee hours of the night for me. There was NO Red Bull, mixed drinks or 5 Hour Energy Drinks for me either. Sigh, I am SO boring!
But, I did manage to complete all FIVE Challenges for Bella Blvd. And I heart all things Bella Blvd!!
The first~ Use Cute Cuts on your layout~ I heart U
I used~
Bella Blvd’s Sunny Skies Cute Cuts for the panada bear, Family Dynamics for the heart, Swing Into Spring Rainbow Ribbons, Flirty Heart Throb, Ciao Chips Essential Sophisticates Peep & McIntosh, Simply Simone Prune
Elegant Edges for the border. I actually used the negative of a previous border cut. I think it made a nice mat and shows that I’m actually learning from my SC Stretch Your Kit class!
Create a Critter for the I heart u which I layered with chipboard letters.
CTMH Vingtage Type Stamps, Zing embossing powder, Stickles
I even broke out my Heat Gun and embossing powder to make the orange chipboard heart mimic the Cute Cut heart. I think it turned out okay, especially if you squint while looking at it. Even more important ~I didn’t burn anyone or anything in my attempt!
What a fabulous layout – love the use of the negative space – precious photo and great design! You rocked it!
Kuddos on not burning anything or anyone…including yourself…while using your heat gun **whew!!**
