Last November Hubby and I went to South Carolina for a weekend getaway that just happened to include my first Cricut Circle meet-up. Yay! It was also the first time we left the littlest home alone over night with a sitter. Yikes! We were told she was a perfect angel. She napped well. She ate well. She even stayed in her stroller during her older brother’s soccer game. Hmmm, I’m not sure I believe all this.
So imagine my surprise the next morning when I turned my back for just a quick second and heard, ” I Stuck Momma!” She had climbed into my bookcase and couldn’t get out! I had to pull her out by her feet!! And of course like any toddler, she did it again. This time I was ready with my camera.
I used the January County Fair kit from Studio Calico for this layout. I’m taking Amy Tangerine’s Stretch Your Kit class and loving every minute of it. It seems I have become addicted to scrap booking kits, so it’s about time I was pushed into using them.
I used~
Mini Monograms for the letters in momma -Cut at 2.25″ I also used the negative of this cut. I think it made it stand out better against the wood grain paper.
Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for the journaling tags -Cut at 3″
Elegant Edges for the border -Cut at 3″
Swiss Dot embossing folder,
Items from the kit include~Studio Calico Wood Veneer Letters, SC Chipboard pieces, Letter/Woodgrain paper, Jillibean Soup Apple Cheddar paper, OA’ s Sasparilla Stagecoach paper
In fact I’ve stretched this kit SO far I have bits and pieces that I can’t remember the brand. But, I guess that’s a good thing!
Adorable! Another great post and a super layout! Love those photos – and way to stretch a kit – it’s a fabulous thing.
Too cute. That is a perfect little memory. Love the papers and the letters used. Those little toddlers will get into anything.
You’re gonna be able to get a lot of mileage out of pics like these someday when she grows up!
